Thanks H, all I can see in this photo is a pair off slightly “off white” chinos, with what can only be described as an inappropriately mild bootcut hem, sitting too high on the ankle, poorly teamed with a dodgy contrasting 70’s leather blouson - am I missing something ?

Dear god, I despair of you sometimes R, I really do.
It's winter in Canada, there's snow on the ground, and the man's wearing Chinos !! Nobody wears Chinos in sub-zero temperatures do they ?

Ok H, maybe it’s a brushed twill, blimey ! I personally think he would have been better with a fine whale corduroy, but hey, what do I know.

Have now been looking at tyres Online for hours, I’ve concluded..........

That my head hurts - I think I’m basically looking for one that’s low profile on the top as I can lower the suspension above to creat little to no gap, but wide profile on both sides so it fills the arches left to right, weirdly enough, I can’t find one anywhere - I think I may have just found a new business venture; oblong tyres !

Khumo is the better all round tyre wet or dry.
Tb5 are temp sensitive,no water clearing tread, they also have a very soft side wall, just like a f1 tyre, but on a 911 they settle in during cornering,ie they move/roll intially then great grip once the side wall has loaded.
The tb 15 is better for wet and dry,i believe they have started doing two compunds for the tb 15,one is verys soft for full wet.
P lots of Khumos Online - which ones would you suggest for standard RS 15” wheels ? smile

Avon CR6ZZ

Assuming you are running 7 and 8s, there aren’t a lot of choices that fit with the correct profile. You can go for lower profile tyres but the ride and look is very different. CN36s are a great road tyre, the Avon’s better if you want to do some track work or prefer a firmer / more positive feel on the road.

Cheers I’ll get on it - can’t remember the wheel width and I can’t check as it’s at CG - I think they are the standard width 15 inch wheel smile

A few pictures of my ST replica from Bathurst in 2018……should be enough stickers to satisfy those with even the greatest fetish.

Running TB5's here and a set of TB15s on Fuchs as day to day. Can confirm what Yellow is saying re side wall loading.

Thanks to everyone for all the info on tyres - it’s really helped.

Looked & drove the Kumos on the car today - felt great, but I have decided to sacrifice some dynamic feel for aesthetics and I’m going to find a tyre that better fills the wheel arch - style over substance with me I’m afraid smile

The only performance tyre I can find to do this is the Avon CR6ZZ (thanks blackmamba/Robbo) they are the only tyre that I can find that have a high enough side wall to fill the arches and are also nice and wide - going for ; 215/60R15 to the front and 225/60R15 to the rear.

Alternatively as I only ever use for spirited road driving on dry warm days, I could go TB5 - these aren’t a 60 deep but a 50 so are a half way house between performance and aesthetics ?

TB 5 F soft compound.
TB 5 R medium compound.

18/60 - 15 TB 5 F 225/50 R 15 79 V
18/60 - 15 TB 5 R 225/50 R 15 79 W

My rims are 15’s 7 & 8 inch.

Really amazing how much better than car is now Chris has done some fettling, I’m super impressed ; feels like a completely different car to me (& my humble abilities) I wish I’d done this ages ago. Thanks to Chris and all at Centre Gravity - what a brilliant business.

This is my car after all the work complete but sitting on my old Bridgestone tyres : Fronts 195/65/15 & Rear 215/60/15.

Robbo's suggested sizes will give you a set of tyres that have the same height front and rear at 25.2". Width is 7.3" and 8.5" which would suit your 7 and 8 inch rims.

Rsv,what ever you do,you will now need to use the same profile as the car has been set up on,because of the ride height/rake,or you will need a reset.Rake on these old cars is the b all and end all on set up.
Ideally you should set the car up on the tyres you are going to use.
