Oh OK ... Then saw one very similr and had decided that could live with the trim anyway. I think in photos it looks a bit brighter than it reall is as any flash or external light will bounce off the surface!

Anyway - well done on purchase and if you want to sell in a hurry then let me know ... :-)

John
I think the car looks stunning, I love the Black on Black combo, same as my GT3.... Wheels really make the car, which is not always the case with aftermarket 911 rims, I personally think the standard turbo rim looks tired and dated on the 996.!
Only thing that would not be for me is the tiptronic, but that is up to the individual.

Cheers
Rob

Deep,

The changes are incredibly fast and surprisingly smooth which was the biggest factor in me buying it, as I said the M3 SMG was extremely hard in terms of gear change which I didn't like.the porsche change up is an extremely quick pick up.

Nice looking car. The wheels look good. Cyrus1971 told me a while ago (whilst demoing his tiptronic) that the gearbox is the same as the unit fitted on the SL55 which copes with 490+bhp.

I tested a tip and a manual 996TT. The manual 'felt' far quicker. A TT is on the cards for me soon, and to be honest, I wouldn't consider a tip for a second, the difference in the two cars I drove was huge. Horses for courses and all that.

Lovely car. Wheels are not my taste, but everyone has an opinion.
I felt the Tip on my Boxster S robbed it of some performance, esp after I drove my friends manual Box S. On the Turbo I guess its less noticable due to all that torque.
Good luck keeping it clean !
