Porsche Boxster 981 GTS
Discussion
I disagree that folding buckets hold you more as a fact - I think it depends on your body shape - so my view is that it's not a definite for all people. X73 making a change is of course a fact, as is the 10mm drop, what I'm saying is that neither offer a significant change in driving feel in my experience.
I drove a bucket seat X73 PCCB Spyder last week and it felt very similar to my Sports Seats Plus PASM Cayman GTS on steels. The spec differences across the cars, even the engines, did not fundamentally change the underlying car IMHO. They're not night and day different in my view, but you obviously think otherwise as I'm sure do others
That's the only point I'm trying to make given my own personal experience. I'm not trying to state it as fact, as I've said it's all just in my view. I wasn't trying to say you are wrong, so apologies if that's how it's come across.

no need to apologise
it's just a discussion but X73 being similar to PASM is your opinion, and possibly one that was formed on a nice smooth track.
to me the car feels more planted on X73 but i've read comments of one or two PH'ers that wouldn't have X73 as it's way too firm. your opinion is that they're similar... so bottom line is that these things need to be tried out rather than rely on others' opinions to make a decision.

Cheers dude - glad we're all good
Feel is very subjective as you say. My wife's Focus RS is trashy as hell on the road but she loves it, only finding it slightly bumpy sometimes. I found X73 very compliant - not too harsh or firm - just a great set of passive shocks. PASM for me is equally great, in a slightly different and more flexible way.
