My experience:

Usual small chip on my 991.2 T which developed into a 12 inch crack in hours. Phoned my broker, Tom at Nowell & Richards who confirms its covered and it won't affect my premium or NCD at all and I can have it fixed by my OPC.

So I book in to OPC Silverstone and get it done, OEM part but they use a specialist (Corby Windscreens IIRC who turn up to fit it at the dealership) rather than their own techs. I pay (just shy of £1,000) and send the invoice to Tom who re-imburses me by return. I wouldn't do business with Admiral.

A lot of people seem to have had problems with 991 windscreens....mine cracked from a tiny chip overnight. Are they highly stressed?

I’m insured with LV and they were happy for my dealer to fit the screen and recalibrate the electronics but I think I paid about £200 extra.

My 991.2 GT3 needs a new screen. Chipped, then developed a straight line split, 6" long.

Fitted by my OPC comes out at £2100 with VAT. Not a cheap stone chip.
