I live about the same distance from both OPC locations.

My 991.1 is due for a service, it’s the 4 year / 40000 mile service

Anyone got an opinion on which OPC is best for servicing? I’ve not used either before, bought my car from a OPC 200 miles away so returning there for the service isn’t really an option

I’m kind of interested in which OPC will give me the best service/ be less likely to try to rip me off

I’m already waiting for one of the above to ring me back.......

I reset the G meter on my 991 when I dropped it off for a service with Leeds OPC. When I picked the car up it was showing 0.8+G from acceleration. That's full bore start. Service manager said he spoke to the technician who said he hadn't abused the car, despite the proof showing otherwise. He did say he was sorry that I thought they'd abused my car though.

Also had multiple pots of takeaway dipping sauce roll put from under the passenger seat first time I braked hard after collecting from them. Wonder how they got there?

Still waiting for a call back from them to finish the PDi (fit the harnesses) on the 160k GT3 I bought from them. Tried the salesman, his manager, the DP and the regional manager. Only bought the car in October, no rush. Have since sold it.

Bought a Panamera, went to collect to find it covered in scratches and defects. Walked away, collected when it wasnt in such a disgraceful condition. Slightly ot but they offered £45k back on said Panamera at 18 month old and 12k miles. £93k car new.

I could go on...

Not a glowing reference for Leeds then!

Unfortunately it was Sheffield that I called at 11am yesterday to book in for a service. The receptionist said the service guys were busy and he would get one of them to phone me back when they were free

Still waiting for that call.....

I’ll try them again on Tuesday

You’d have thought they’d be falling over themselves to do a major service on a car that’s under warranty. Surely going to be me spending £1500 with them

Leeds and Sheffield are both part of the same group (Jct 600 ) so I'm not sure how much they differ in regards to service

I've only been to Leeds once when going to look at a car they had for sale so can't really comment.

I've been to Sheffield a few times as they're more local to me,

went to look at a car and also left details of the model/spec I was interested in but they didn't show much interest,

recently rang when trying to get a price for replacing my P Zero's with Ps4's,
the chap I spoke to didn't seem to have much knowledge of what was available and didn't even think N rated Michelins were available in my sizes then asked if I could leave it with him, when he rang back the price was the highest I'd been quoted so I left it there.

are you based more up north

I tend to use Nottingham for most of my needs and can't really fault them,

they've always looked after me and if I need to leave my car with them they always make sure I've got another Porsche to drive around in.

Nottingham is a good call

I work in Nottingham a couple of days a week and did a test drive with them when I bought my car, although I bought one from Wolverhampton

Might be as easy to get it serviced at Nottingham on a day when I’m in the office there

Sadly they don’t need to try and therefore don’t.

I would go elsewhere. Both Nottingham and Leicester seem to have a good reputation amongst some Yorkshire folk.

So you’ve not actually used them for servicing then?

I’ve used them for years only do so because they are local. To be fair the service can be ok but on other occasions bloody awful.

What is going on in Hull such that Porsche wants to open there? Usually it’s a sign of an area becoming prosperous isn’t it?

We lived in Nottingham for 6 years and only moved 18mths ago when I retired.

We used Nottingham for servicing and warranty work and have nothing but praise for the service department, I have always found them to be first class, I have had oil changes done on a Saturday and waited for the car, the technician has invited me into the workshop to go round the car while its on the ramp. They have always kept you informed of progress on warranty issues, you could supply your own oil and when they stopped that they would price match what you could buy the oil for, you cannot complain at that, always got a car when I asked for one.

Overall the service department have been very good which is more than can be said of the sales department.

I was there saturday morning a few weeks ago due to an issue with one of my headlights.
just dropped by and asked if they could take a look,
technician had a quick look then suggested getting it inside to have a proper look using there mot tester while I had a cuppa,
after about 15 mins he came through to the showroom and invited me into the workshop to show me what he'd found,
pointed out it was just badly adjusted and would try and sort it there and then and if he wasn't able would get the parts ordered and get me booked in to get it fixed
I went back into the showroom for another cuppa
spent another 15 mins sitting in the cars in the showroom and then talking to this chap and his son who were thinking of ordering a new Macan,
did my best to encourage him to take the plunge, telling him what a great car they are and recommended the Macan S as the price increase over the base version is only a couple of grand biggrin

technician came back out with my keys to say all fixed and I was on my way smile
really couldn't ask for more thumbup

I've always found Sheffield to be most reliable at servicing with reasonable cost.

Also, very good on car sales (they go the extra mile)

Another vote for Sheffield.

Used them for services and new tyres (4x tyres for my previous 981 were cheaper with them than Black Circles et al).

Other than courtesy car availability (I’ve always had to book weeks in advance to guarantee one) I’ve never had an issue.

Must have been planned for when their Wendyball team were in the Premiership. Oops, that's £8m gone. Seriously, there's plenty of money close by that's not in Hull itself.

Hull City reached the Premiership. Then didnt, then did, then didnt etc etc. Thats an awful lot of spare cash gone from the region. Allegedly its an 8M showroom. Convenient for me, as its a lot closer than Sheffield, which is nice.

The bits surrounding Hull are quite lovely, and surprisingly expensive (at one stage Beverley was rising faster than London). M62 gets you a lot of places quite fast, as it happens.
