Can't believe you didn't get it lined with Alcantara, with deviated stitching!
hehe That's not mine that's just off t'internet.

The mobile charger comes with a wall bracket to hang it up at home which takes 2 seconds to detach and throw in the boot if you want to take it with you.

A naive question for current owners.

In terms of charging, have any of you just gone with just a 32a external socket to charge with Porsche Mobile Charger Plus?

This approach is being recommended on one of the UK facebook groups, but I thought I'd ask here.

It sounds too easy to me, and I wonder whether it's appropriate for the required load. The last thing I want to do, is create a fire risk for the sake of not installing a charger.
Definitely possible and suitable for the load, but you may need as much or more electrical work than for a dedicated charger. Assuming there is a good wiring route I think you still need a type B RCBO (breaker) along with a PEN device and a socket with an isolator switch. Given the grant you get for installing a dedicated charger, it may not work out much more economical (certainly this was the case for me).

Very nice, well done.

Out of interest, when did you order your car?

Thank you, we were early May for a July/August delivery but still waiting; hopefully not too much longer!

If it's any consolation, I was in similar situation and was being told early November delivery, but got an email today to say my car's now loaded onto the ship.

Check the car for all options on delivery as people are reporting missing items that have been removed due to the chip shortage! When challenged they say they will retrofit them later ...

That's interesting! If you read it somewhere could you report the sources? I'd be interested in knowing more about how they are handling this

It may well go by dealer/allocation. Your dealer may have had more ordered at that point.

Surely you order a car - it goes on build list and thats how it gets sorted out?

That is exactly the same situation as mine. My 4S CT was ordered about the same time and was actually sat at Emben in August but now its back at the factory for whatever reason. Last news was a week ago when i was told I should get mine before Xmas.

What lease companies have you looked at?

I was looking with Hitachi Capital vehicle solutions, who are a big name I would trust and are generally well priced. In this case though I had decided I would just place an order with Porsche direct for a slightly higher monthly payment in the hope they’d do a better job of getting it faster for a direct customer.

In the end I am going to buy a different car so can’t comment on how good either option is or their lead times.
