Anyone got a lease quote from Porsche (or other) on a Taycan?
- i'm wondering if they are building in an unusually high GFV / balloon etc?

The way I have understood this is that 100% is FYA, which is more like 19% and there is not BIK for the first year.
it's a massive saving, iirc the bik will be 1% the following year

for reference a spec'd DB11 as a company car is roughly £2,400 off your wages *per month* !
I expect to see many of these by directors
Exactly.

It was already reasonably good. Our accountants (who are a decent practice) have been banging on about us (as directors of businesses that run as limited companies) having Teslas, which a few of their other clients do. We've told them the FO.

However, with the arrival of Jaguar and Porsche in the market place, and with the new allowances form April 2020, it does look very attractive. What I'd really like is the 4S, Touring (estate) version of the Taycan. I will just have to wait patiently.

Sorry, but to me the Tesla interiors look like those McDonald's with the new big screens.

Both the Jag and Porsche EV's are head and shoulders better in that regard.

4S announced and also on configurator
Much sooner than expected. Well priced too. I wonder how many will amend their order, also considering the additional range of the 4S..

When I looked at it the range option was almost £5k as an option.

Which is surely the “must have” option

The list price of the 4S and Turbo are very deceptive as you need to compare apples with apples..The Turbo even in bog standard spec is very well kitted out, most of which are 'must haves' IMO..By the time you add all the extras on to the base 4S to the same spac as the standard Turbo the gap narrows to £13.5K..
A lot of these options like full leather,20'' rims, metallic paint, heated seats,Torque vector+,PSCB brakes,Sport tex headlining,18 ways,Matrix lights,Performance battery plus,BOSE etc amount to a whopping £20K just to mimic the base spec Turbo...On this basis i'll be sticking with my lightly optioned Turbo in either Gentian or Volcano. We saw a Panamera in Gentian yesterday and we both agreed its a truly stunning and classy hue of blue in the metal so will probably go with it on our Taycan..
The only two options i'm undecided on are the Panoramic roof and RAS..Our new Cayenne Coupe Hybrid we picked up yesterday has the mandatory Pano roof but not the RAS..The difference between our new Cayenne Coupe's glass roof and the same fitted on the Taycan is there is an electric sun blind on the former but not available on the latter..I'm not sure i'd want a glass roof without a blind although i suspect my kids will differ.
I never missed the RAS on my new car in complete contrast to my recent 992S coupe..I have changed the spec on my imminent 992 Cabrio to have the RAS on this basis..I only see the benefit of RAS on long wheelbase Panameras or Cayennes at low speeds..

Hmm, how naughty of Porsche. Dare I say it, deceptive even.

Still I would not want to kit a Taycan out to the level of a 'Turbo', so the difference would be substantial in my case.

I'm thinking of placing a deposit but need to confirm how much room is in the back. My guess is somewhere between 911 and Panamera - anyone got any ideas?

Remember seeing on a vid that legroom is okay but if you’re over 6ft tall headroom in the back starts to get tight.Maybe one fo the Carfection vids with Mr Catchpole as he’s tall!

Much like a Panamera, but a bit less headroom.

I have the same predicament. Glass roof is cool but I like the contour (very RS/R style) of the conventional roof more, as the car looks better with it? Just think the extra light on the inside is going to maybe make the cockpit a nicer place to be as you spend more time sat in rather than looking at it....

The training starts on the last week of October in Majorca. I leave on November 5th. I've already got a list of things to find out on the physical cars from customers. Let me know if you need anything else finding out wink

If its not too much to ask i'd like your thoughts on the RAS and Panoramic roof..I currently have both on my configured Turbo but very undecided..I really like the double creased roof on the standard roof yet see the benefits of a glass roof for rear passengers. The fact it doesn't have a retractable blind makes the glass roof less appealing.

What is a Taycan offering over a Telsa S if you choose the base model ?

with range and power down on the Taycan even if you spec the BIG battery on the 4S , the Tesla walks all over it on every bit of spec.

why the hype ?

I'll take range, performance and load space and £40k in my pocket if |I were in the market.

1. The interior design and build on a Tesla is pretty shocking compared to a Taycan.
2. Its a Porsche
3. It looks infinitely better
4. 800V battery system
5. A massive 265Kw regen recharging capability which is totally superior to any Tesla.
6. Most importantly extra brownie points for yours truly to get an allocation on the next uber rare super GT Porsche.

1: not that impressed by the 992 it's feels plastic and a bit microswitchy.
2: It's a VAG
3: subjective.
5: you cannot buy that charger for your house ! and the model 3 does enough miles not to worry about it.
6: not sure what to say.

with electric it's about RANGE and that lol 0-60 trick Ludicrous mode, for me any way, and at the price point the model 3 kills the porkers.

I don't get the Taycan, it's not market leading in anyway ! which was the hype … The range is poor on the 4S and you have to spec a bigger battery ! which IS £5k and still not upto the Tesla spec !!! top end Porker battery 93.4kWh, Tesla battery 102.4 kWh. !!

So I'll ask again , what is better with the Taycan ?

1. Its not a 992 and seems much better quality
2.The badge says its a Porsche which is good enough for me.
3. Anyone who thinks differently needs to visit Specsavers.
4. 800V battery system again.!!
5. I said 265Kw REGEN charging capability not plug-in..
6. It is what it is.!

range is key and so is the lol 2.4 to 60, have you been in a 2.4 electric car, it's eye watering funny roller coaster tummy churn wow lol.
I had no words after my go in one.

the sporty one looks cool, and is making Porsche look stupid. Tesla is bringing the fight and winning in quite a big way.

Catchpoles real review says it all imo, and for me a pointless car to ever even think about buying one.

Worlds gone mad.
