Potential 997.2 C2S purchase
Discussion
I have been toying with the idea for a while of purchasing a 997.2 coupe with pdk as the Mrs will drive it on occasions and prefers auto so a good compromise.
There's a fair selection on the market and only real requirements are low miles and owners. I've come across the one below and keep coming back to it. I'm thinking of going to take a look this weekend. I've already spoken to the sellers once and they seem very open and happy for me to have a nose.

Question is, is it the right time.
I've pretty much got the other half on board just need convince myself what to do.

There's never a "right time", but I'd say £50k for a 997.2 C2S is...a lot.
I paid £45k for my 997.2 GTS in June, granted it was on 78k, but personally I don't think 26k is low enough for them to sell at £50k!

Seems a bit expensive for a C2S at £50k, I'd hope there was quite a bit of room for negotiation there; if not, walk away, there will always be another.
Good luck.
As the previous poster stated its a lot of money and if you want to sell in 12-18 months then you will either take a huge bath or wait a very very long time for a private buyer to come along. I sold 997.2 a couple of months ago. It was a very clean car, low miles, right options with an OPC warranty and it was hard work and took 3 months. Trade bids were £7k less than I eventually sold it for with OPC bids around £9K less.
Great cars to daily. Mines a fairly basic spec, black on black manual 997.2 CS and I do about 30 miles a day of commuting - mixture of motorway, A and B road, and it's good fun - plenty quick enough and is an enjoyable driver's car. My wife occasionally uses it for work and her only complaint is road noise when taking calls via Bluetooth. It's fine for longer trips too, the standard "coffin" seats are comfy and the cabin is well put together and relatively modern.
Not sure I see value in a "low mileage" near 10 year old car that you plan to use daily. Personally I would save yourself a decent chunk of money and buy a well-cared for higher mileage example from a reputable indy. I bought mine a year ago on 50k miles and you could hardly tell apart from the odd stone chip - it's clearly been garaged most of its life and the interior has no marks whatsoever. Apart from the ones my kids have now added.
The one you linked is comically overpriced IMHO - I would get a 997.2 GTS if you're in that kind of price range. Personally prefer the narrow body which suit our roads and for day-to-day parking etc. but personal preference. Also that front splitter will become irritating pretty quickly as it will catch more often than you might think.
Not sure what you mean about it being the right time to buy. These cars are not getting any younger but prices seem pretty flat.
Just a perspective from a current owner. Good luck with the purchase.

toppy price IMHO
not sure they know Porsche very well? "Sport chronologically plus" made me chuckle
odd rear spoiler - is that the standard cup aerokit?
this one looks nicer IMHO: and better starting point price

Thank you guys thats made an interesting read.
During the phone conversation about this car I did get the impression there was room for movement just wonder after what you've all said where it should be priced?
One of the reason for this car was the location its only 14 miles from me and everything else seems to be at least 100 miles away from me.
Ive always been of the mindset when I buy a car low mileage and lower owners will help for when I'm ready to move it on. Me and the mrs do around 6000 -8000 miles a year so over a few years of ownership will still look good at 13-14 years old. Just trying to think ahead.
