Just finished Series 2, which I thoroughly enjoyed. No-one else catch it?
Missed the second series come out, thanks. He doesn't seem to have the best relationship with his co-drivers from the snippets we get, must be tough being the crap one. It's incredibly well filmed and edited.
I just finishing the second series and thought it was a very good watch. Fair play to Fassbender I thought he drove well when his head was in it and I agree with his rant at Spa with regards to seat time. Looks punishing for the AM drivers. Leitz showed his class at the same weekend sticking it on pole with no practice laps. His back must hurt from carrying the other two drivers.
Thanks for the tip!...I also watched the whole second series over two days. ( lockdown will do that). Still trying to figure out his deal though. While he is a much better driver than many ( definitely including myself) he wouldn't be there if not a celebrity. Yet there will be a third season- which I will watch.
I like the fact that they do to spend a lot of time telling you how great the car is. The discussions are on point.

I thought Episode 4 was particularly well done (IIRC). It was extremely well edited to build up the suspense..... Of course, the series wouldn't be made if Fassbender wasn't a celebrity but I find the whole Bronze/Gentleman Driver thing utterly fascinating. There was a film on Netflix or Amazon Prime all about the concept.

Agree... the series does a great job in giving us amateurs the tension of real competition .I have done lot of casual track days. This is the real tension of competition well beyond my wildest talent .
I felt some sympathy for the guy being eclipsed by professional drivers
I thought Fassbender did a good job at Portimao. I love their high risk, but logical strategy of making him, the slowest of the three drivers, do the first stint. He handled the mayhem of the opening laps incredibly well IMHO.
Unless you are very lucky and have a huge budget, you are always going to get a mismatched trio of drivers in an endurance team. It is an interesting mentality of how you share the work/risk and also how the drivers support and communicate with one another. I thought this came across well. fk me though, Richard Lietz can really peddle a car!

Excellent recommendation. I binge-watched all three series and it's really good stuff. Michael Fassbender comes across as a top bloke and fair play to him; he's giving it 100 per cent effort. What an amazing thing to be able to do. A dream for most of us (certainly is for me) and he's living it. Good man!

I really enjoy these. Anyone have an idea how much it costs to do a season of this if you're not Michael Fassbender?
Carrera Cup according to total 911 in 2019 was around £300k plus additional costs so I suspect closer to £400k is reasonable for a season including the purchase of the car. GT3 you’re looking at £1mil+
