High milage 991 Turbo
Discussion
I doubt the car even exists.
If a guy has driven 130,000 miles in a 911 turbo S in three years I’d say he will be a regular on PH and be snapping the hand off of one of the posters in this thread rather than waiting for a mate who’s dithering.
I’m calling custard.

Yes- for the warm, friendly atmosphere and camaraderie that makes the PH Porsche section such a harmonious and lovely place to frequent!Edited by Thankyou4calling on Friday 10th January 13:56

Bookmarked.
Problem is if the story is as described OP's mate would sell the car at least 10 times over pretty much as soon as he listed it on Autotrader. Which begs the question why he isn't considering doing that.
Possibly because he's had three years of enormous fun, he knows he's going to be bid in the balls and given a hard time by buyers, and likes the OP?Problem is if the story is as described OP's mate would sell the car at least 10 times over pretty much as soon as he listed it on Autotrader. My mate is awaiting his new car to be delivered. Probably late Spring.
He doesn't like the idea of tyre kickers, hence the price.
He knows he can achieve more money for it by advertising the car etc.
He uses it as his daily motorway drive.
He has got his value of of it @130k miles.
I probably cover 3-5k miles per year and what a lot of fun for the money. It is totally genuine sale and I was totally genuine in my question. I do appreciate all of your feedback. Hope to show some photos in the near future. Fingers crossed

A 996 GT3 owner clocked up 180K on his car. He didn’t post on here (until the car appeared on the market)If a guy has driven 130,000 miles in a 911 turbo S in three years I’d say he will be a regular on PH and be snapping the hand off of one of the posters in this thread rather than waiting for a mate who’s dithering.
Maybe he was too busy driving it/running his business to waste time posting to the veritable plethora of self professed experts and keyboard warriors to be found on here ...

How much is the car?
Why do you think buyer would tell you this? I would not other than off line and only if I knew you. Jeez.Desert Dragon said:

Possibly because he specifically asked for advice on whether he should buy it, and the asking price is a critical piece of information for the people giving that advice?Eh he's given everyone the formula? Cheapest 2016 turbo s circa 100k-110k ish which I regard as VFM for what it is. So if he buys he's paying £50-55k? I'd still want to pay less but I can understand why someone would pay up to 55k for car like this. Isn't a better sporty GT on the planet for me other than the new 992 turbo s which will cost circa £175-200k depending on if you go for coupe or cab!

I'm confused. If you think he's already given everybody the price (via the formula), why did you respond to the question of how much the car is with the statement "Why do you think buyer would tell you this?" It just seems like you're contradicting yourself by first asking why he should tell us, and now responding by saying that he's effectively already told us.The fact is, we don't know the price of the cheapest car HE found. We also don't know he literal he was being when he said the one he's been offered was 'half' the price. It could be 45% or 55% and he used 'half' as an easy approximation.
All I'm saying is that knowing the exact price would make it much easier for people to give useful advice.
