I've lost my audience, as they say hehe

I'm all for thrashing a car, but I do that with more than half my brain thinking about preserving petrolhead-desired ICE for the future, 'cos otherwise the future doesn't seem to have a place for petrolheads.

Has anyone registered 'electronheads' URL yet? No, because there won't be any people joining.
Our cars will deff be preserved for the future with caring maintenance.
Umight be right taffysmileat least you were not screaming like diggasmile from memory i think you were going to buy me a pint that night.
Must be Taffy, he's peeling an orange in his pocket.

I must admit I was getting rather excited. At least I didn't leave a stain like I did in 993rsr's CGT.

Look - stop talking about enjoying yourself thrashing cars around tracks. This is the collecting-money thread.

I saw twenty-one Magpies this morning, and you know what that means.

What’s the background on this then…

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2004-porsche-9...

It's the 911goat ... recently sold a 3.2 Clubsport ... was bidding on a 2.7 Carrera which appears not to have sold ... and is now selling this which has been owned for a few years. The history on the 3.2 was incomplete as it was on the 2.7 Carrera ... ??

Just noticed this, £72k for a Clubsport in rare cobalt blue, that’s a very good buy!

This same spec Mk2 Clubsport (with PCCB's and lower miles) has been on the market for 6 months and was last priced at £78k. I'm guessing buyer got it for even less.

The buyer on CC has had to play the auction lottery with zero backup. I know where my money would be.

Interesting! I guess that’s sold very recently? The car’s advert is still live on PH.

Uncanny how all the 'best' scratchchin cars with a story seem to end up being traded from the infamous Bradford Shipley Keighley triangle. laugh

Yes, bidding stalled about 10 hours before auction ended once the obvious signs of paint were pointed out...not that that's an issue though.

I agree, if it's been done properly and the price reflects it. At the end of the day there are no virgin's in a bordello.

CC were made aware of it however, it was never detailed in the ad. The clout not that there are no virgin's in a bordello.

CC's Term & Conditions state that they will only act on info received from the seller, not a third party.

It was all it's money anyway and I'm sure owner will have a blast.

White crash helmet; does look very much like mine in RHS passenger seat. In a full face, no one can see you scream.

It was all joy. Loved every moment of it. thumbup

ETA Just recalled you went out just after me which means I take full responsiblity for the sticky wet patch on the seat you sat on.yuck

Anyone on here actually bidding ? The amount of giving out about the condition of the car you'd think we were all being forced to bid rofl
Ended at £204k plus fees, so around £216k in total.

In current market, that is probably quite a good deal, not withstanding the cost of leather repair/dash trim replacement

£211.2k - max buyer fee is 7200.

It's a Touring for the price of a wing car. Will probably receive a detail and be flipped for 240, if anybody's actually paying those prices in today's market.

thanks for correcting my sum. I can't see it being flipped as a fair few in the market for one will now know of what it went beforehand.
