I doubt they'll break it, it'll just stop you having problems in the future

Well I work in IT (systems analyst) and im always a bit wary of of updates to fix stuff but im hoping you are right

FWIW mine has been mostly trouble-free too, bar the very occasional nuisance that you've been logged out and only know this at the point you need to connect to the car.
