Dealers are quoting 12months for a Boxster unless you order the 'Style' version, which seems to be an extra £5k for unwanted graphics and wheels.
You can remove the ‘stickers’ and just order a normal one with slightly better equipment.
Yes, you can delete the stickers etc, but you are still paying for them! ‘Delete’ is a ‘no cost option’ that only Porsche could get away with!
To be fair I don’t think you’re just paying for the stickers, there’s a whole host of other options included in the ‘Style’ that are cost options in the base like climate, rear cam, the multi function wheel, 20” alloys etc..
There's brand new cars for well under £30k that have all those options as standard (apart from 20" alloys) it's quite shameful at the price point to have to pay for climate control

Mate has been waiting for a GT3 slot, "had" to buy a Taycan first ( after a couple of other Porsches) his Taycan slot came up, but no confirmed GT3 slot, so he roughly said both or neither....anyway the Taycan has been given up now, especially as LCI is due at some point, who knows what will happen with GT3 slot...lets see...but I think we know...

Looking at the new cars available half the OPC’s don’t have a single new car listed….you’d have to assume that’s because they don’t want to list them rather than don’t have any. Guesstimate of the amount of cars those OPC’s have and then a guess at the number of sports cars….real number is a big number.
What do you think the response would be if you walked in and asked to buy a new 911? Soon.
I think with most OPC’s they’d ask you if you wanted the 992 that a customer has just cancelled. People on here have very recently reported being offered 911’s
We have a deposit in for a 992 gts, been offered 2 slots since Christmas.

Now asked to move the deposit to the 992.2 gts when available.

Seems to be plenty of cayennes available, was offered a slot to build a gts coupe last week.

Things seem to popping up a little more.

My opc has plenty of used stock to be fair.

Cars are available to order if you've been a good customer for a while and purchased a few cars now and again. We have a 992 turbo s in build, a friend collected his Gt3 just before Christmas and another is expecting his Gt4rs to be delivered any day now.
All parties have previously bought new Porsches and sold the cars back to the dealer when they are ready to change.

Not Boxsters or Caymans (unless you want a 'Style' edition). Order book closed pending switch to electric.

Umm well they are still up on website and I was able to spec a GTS although I guess the odds of actually getting one are small

I agree but they haven’t really got much choice have they- if they want to stay in that segment of the market and assuming there will be a market for electric two seaters !

Well, the EU is continuing on their Green Leap Forward... No new ICE cars in a few years time (and in markets like Germany likely not sufficient electricity to power battery powered ones)

Lol. You must be new to the brand.

The easiest thing to do is buy a used or nearly new one. Even with the overs you'll pay, it's cheaper in the long run than buying loads of other random Porsches over god knows how many years, and being on your best behaviour with the dealer in the hope they'll permit you to buy one new.
