Yes, I'd have it back in a heartbeat. I was using it as a daily and it needed somewhere to keep it in - I now have a garage....

That's not J120 UPB* by any chance?

  • Altered as you have blanked your plate but close enough to recognise if it is the same car wink
Sorry, never saw this - no it was a G plate

I had almost never had much room or money left to keep more cars then 1, so had to sell most to get another to try out :-)

my first ever Porsche was a trade in, a 924, drove well but did not felt special.

my second one was one I choose and was more then I expected (the handler who sold it did not know either), I wanted to buy my first 911, a 3.2 was to expensive so I bought a 3.0 had to sadle for less ;-) but it looked great, a special metallic color, titanium grey-ish metal window surroundings, very cool and a green leather interior with Turbo seats, not that I knew that, it was way before internet times lol.

So the green interior I thought, hm... but then most were black or light grey...meh, I began to love it because special, it also had a wail tail, ok so dar so good, I start wondering this 3.0 must be something more special then I thought, so I let it Check (for free lol) at a classic porsche specialist.

He said ah, nice one, its a 1976 Porsche Carrera 3.0 not much weight and 200-210hp or so, so more rare then a normal 3.0 or 3.2, then one day when I parked it outside my garage next to a busy street when workers time was over, a VW Bus with workers stopped and said, nice Porsche, is it for sale? I said no, but if you offer enough it can be, he offered a few thousand Gulden (at the time in NL) more then I bought it for, had my fun it and thought hey, more money to hunt for my next car... so sold it, now they are more 4 times in the Gulden money I sold it for, but say double = normal.

My last Porsche I bought was also special, was looking for a 964 coupe, but a C4 was not what I wanted, a garage friend already warned me, he said, yes those are a bit cheaper, but René, believe me, its not what you seek... but tried it anyway, just 100 meter out the garage, first corner and so I felt it, nah...

Then looking for a 964 C2 that was better said the guy I know back then, so I came across one with C2 RS look, hm, nice, yes said that garage man, but it does not has it original engine, ok, what is in it now> a 3.8 RS Cup engine... I don't need original I said, took a short drive and I was sold, so much better then a 3.6 C4 lol yes, from thos 3 Porsche's thats the one I wish I could keep in a collection if I had the space and money.

here some scanned in picture from back in 1999 in midnightblue? metallic, had no digital camera back then and yes, back then I had a big new garage and a big drive way for myself, the garage was bigger then my house, lol, build it there, when I bought the house it was a mess, lots of trees and old sheds, I looked through it and thought, hm, all away, a big garage, big wide drive way, maybe I can buy more cars and make a hobby... but nope, my head did not work with me and broke with the girlfriend back then and sold it all and split the gains of it, now I live in a better house, but 1 car garage not narrow, sadly without driveway and no power in my head to change, but its ok :-) glad I have a garage living next to a city centre.
