ive found a nice 996, its vesuvius grey mettalic, but i cant seem to find a decent pic of the colour anywhere.... is it erm... a bit purple? im really reluctant to buy a car with more than a whiff of lavendar about it.... anyone got a link to a decent one? theres one at rsj but the pics tiny.

no, not at all rob. I'm hoping your joking? for myself, i just like the 996 more, its much more modern in my humble O. and the interior doesn't look three hundred years old.

in actual fact Ive found the car i like now, its Vesuvius Grey metallic, and Ive just got agreement from Barclay's that i have the money. all seems well, the mileage is great, the spec is great. the only thing i cant be sure about is the color, and i don't want to travel 300 miles to find out its got more than a whiff of lavender about it.

apologies if youre not joking and you feel ive wasted your time: its just that for 30k i reckon im allowed to be picky!!

Think VERY dark grey and then add some red flecks to it when the sun catches it.
Its a lovely colour and I'm sure someone on here has one that was featured on the front of Total 911.....
