A couple of people (ok, me and someone else) have mentioned not being able to post photos with their messages. Is there a link anywhere on PH that shows you how to do this? Do you need your own webpage to link to? Is it a HTML thing?

if your photo is on the internet somewhere then it's easy

your link looks like this: www.verysideways.com/live/images/porsche/993tt/121_2150_mod.jpg

then you need to add a
[pic]

in front of it, and a
[/pic]

after it, and it ends up looking like this:

[ pic ]www.verysideways.com/live/images/porsche/993tt/121_2150_mod.jpg[ /pic ]

or this:

(after you remove the spaces from [ pic ])

Thanks for that. And if they're on my computer I assume it's the same principle then. So here goes...

Errr, the picture i posted is a jpg... and if they're on your computer then they're not on the internet and you can't upload them to PH.

In which case you need to hook yourself up with an account with one of these online photo album companies (webshots and the like).

Basically, if you can see in in internet explorer as www.something.com/mypicture.xyz then you're okay.

You with me?

Yes, I'm with you. Sorry, when I said jpegs I meant they were in my iPhoto file and not online. So off to webshots I go then...

You have to go through the trial and error experience if you `re like me and not computer literate. Two days ago I hadn`t a clue how to post pictures but with help from fellow PistonHeaders it can be done. I`d certainly recomend tinypic and broadband is a must.

Lovely job

My 930 alongside a friends 308 mid eighties and a recent pic of my 996.

That was a bit of shock, seeing my 997 up there. I assume you've just grabbed it from my profile page. I've registered for webshots now, but all my jpegs are on my mac at work. Hopefully I'll upload a few tomorrow...

So how come your post has the photo up big, while mine has a little blue box with a question mark in it?

I used to use Webshots all the time for storing pics, but it became
a nuiscance, and quite slow going, whereas

http://tinypic.com/

are free, no sign up always there and simpler to use,

(no really, and I don't even have shares sadly)
