Its a testament to Porsche's safety systems and the strength/quality/design of the car that he got out of that one. Amazing.

Absolutely. I wouldn't have fancied my chances if I'd done that in my TVR...

It is most definitely possible to roll a GT3 - mate of mine had some plonker roll his GT3RS - wrote it off (bit like the photos shown) then the idiot had the audacity to tell him he was only doing 30mph at the time!

If you want the definitive answer as to how your car will behave under extreme steering / throttle / brake inputs I would second the Don Palmer "Creative Car Control" course as suggested by a previous poster. Incredible experience and a real eye opener. Just be prepared to budget for a new set of tyres afterwards!

Re the GT2 accident at CC: that spot is well known for nasty offs usually by inexperienced drivers doing daft things though this is by far the most spectacular I've seen to date.

Are you sure it's avon rise? looks like Folly to me (the kink before Avon Rise)

It's called Folly because some people think you can overtake around the outside but to attempt it is a "Folly" looks like Mr GT2 hadn't been informed-glad to see he made it out in 1 piece.

Did this once in a 944S2 doing 'a bit'over 70mph on the M40when in the 2nd lane and someone pulled out from the inside lane trying to side swipe me. I automatically did a sharp right into the outside lane followed by an equal and opposite left one. Car followed my instructions back end skipped about a foot or so before carrying on in a straight line.
Not sure the 964 would have, the 993TT with those fat tyres and 4WD I'm sure would have and probably with no skip.

During a Don Palmer day at Bruntingthorpe I let one of Don's mates do a lap (I think his name was Mike Frear???) in my GT3.

Going up the main runway at about 150 he turns and asks " Has Don been through lane changing yet??"

Yes I said, but not at this speed.

Same principle he said wrenching the wheel to the right then left.

You know how a Harrier Jump jet can VIF???

Well we VIFfed into the next lane in an instant. I would not have believed a car do do that....

What a driver !!!! (The rest of the lap had my jaw on the floor as well btw).

Blimey, that does sound like a course worth the investment.
