These sound like identical problems that Balkan had with his GT3 - I'm sure he's got it sorted now : you can get to him via stuttgart9's if you want to try him for some info.....

ive noticed at high speed the front end is light round the corners but not in a straight line .. .. .. ..

when the front end goes light, I turn into the corner forcing the rear end out to correct the front end slide (Simon Harrod seen this 5 days after purchase from behind )

tight grip on the wheel that people are tlaking about:- this will help if you loosen your grip, I suppose I found this out through riding a motorbike, if you hold too tight (too stiff) and ride over un even terrain, you will get what is known as "tank slappers" where the handlebars shake their head and turn the wheel side to side, and believe me, at 90mph this aint fun, but if you are relaxed with the grip this doesnt happen so mabe it is a similiar case (although not as bad) with your gt3rs ? I sure know my 911 is very sensitive with the feedback from the wheel so this sought of makes sense to me thinking the gt3rs will be even more sensitive.

Do you mean that you apply more steering lock?...surely that'd make the car push wider? or have I misinterpreted your comment?
