So to answer the original question i would go with the everyday useable c2 with gt3 aero with sport chassis and invest in some trackday tuition and you will have the best of both worlds.
Sounds about right.
I now just have to convince myself that I should let go of my beloved F-car...
....shouldn't be difficult, go for a test drive in a 996, then go back home and run through your service history costs on the F car

Surely the best is to get a GT3 and get some tuition?
.. and, going back to the original question, what if you need the rear seats?
