Now this isn't a dig at beetle drivers before you lot get on your high horses ... but why is it that MANY 911 owners always refer to them in threads as 993 / 996 etc?

I've just read something about 911's and why the Cayman is potentially far superior to a 911, yet there seems to be a trend amongst 911 owners that they don't want to admit that a car with the engine in the right place has the potential to be much better than the 911.

Is it loyalty, a head in the sand attitude or a basic misunderstanding of the laws of physics?

i dont know about that, but i think all hairdressers are pooves and all footballers are from essex and are thick. ooo, and dolphins are actually just jumped up salmon.

interestingly when i did a search for fish pics one of the first sites i found was for a Captain Matt Bagley. I'm Matt bagley. spooky huh? though, obviously, I'm a second lieutenant.

The day a Cayman comes past my 996 GT2 i will buy one, don't care where the engine is.

997 - latest model
996 - previous model
993 - previous to that
964 - etc etc

They are all very different beasty boys
