The day a Cayman comes past my 996 GT2 i will buy one, don't care where the engine is.

997 - latest model
996 - previous model
993 - previous to that
964 - etc etc

They are all very different beasty boys

erm....

what does this have to do with fish? or dolphins for that matter.

Well yes, this thread is a bit of a fishing expedition

Now this isn't a dig at beetle drivers before you lot get on your high horses ... but why is it that MANY 911 owners always refer to them in threads as 993 / 996 etc?

I've just read something about 911's and why the Cayman is potentially far superior to a 911, yet there seems to be a trend amongst 911 owners that they don't want to admit that a car with the engine in the right place has the potential to be much better than the 911.

Is it loyalty, a head in the sand attitude or a basic misunderstanding of the laws of physics?

Retires to a safe distance

No offence, but what do you know about the laws of physics?

In that case, Houston, we have a problem.

Maybe the salmon can help out?

That'll be hydrodynamic actually. Unless it's a flying fish of course

Edit - beaten to it!

Clearly, as already explained, salmon are jumped up dolphins.

PS I have rated this thread a "thumbs up" though it should probably be in The P&P. Unless there's a total twaddle forum I haven't found yet.

That's it. Your weasel post is toast

Now, to get things back on topic, the 996 GT2 comment.... Is the GT2 a standard 996 I wonder, or is it heavily breathed upon version. It would be very interesting indeed to see how a breathed upon Cayman would fare... Quite well I would imagine

Weasel, Topic, did you like that Nervy?
