Unfortunately it may be - its not on the 111, but it is on the invoice - Not sure what they keep on record but im sure they would keep this on file!

If it gets worse, will take it to an indie and pay the 111 again - probably still cheaper!

Don't know if you'll have to do the 111 following that course.. Once you can show them a fixed seal , you should be able to ask to amend your warranty , no?(as the french say..)

Have a feeling they re-do the whole 111 if you need a warrantable item fixed. They need to make money somehow..

Oh, they also appear not to have done the road test - theres no ticks on the boxes. 92 point check for the price of 111 - bargain!

Yawn.

If they issue the warranty then RMS is covered.

Yawn...?

Vesuvius - the point is they are saying it is not covered - this is not one of the usual 'what is RMS' chat, just me trying to find out how to keep on top of it

I had the RMS done and the tiptronic gearbox exchanged under extended warranty with no questions asked. C2 996 tips, 30.000 miles facelift 2001. I did not see it myself as it was discovered during a scheduled serviced with no traces of oil or anything on the garage floor. I wouldn't be so fussed about it as long as you have the extended warranty.

Im less worried about it now to be honest - if it costs me a few hundred to get it covered, then maybe thats a small price for peace of mind
