so people think its ok to have a car confiscated because of speeding?

totally disproportionate punishment for the crime which reeks of exploiting the whole 'speed kills' argument at the moment.

I for one, would love to do any of the xxxball events. Part of the attraction of the gumball and similar is the partying at night etc, not having a quiet drive round europe with a couple of mates...

let people get on with what they enjoy without judging them and calling them retards...

I was always told how good the HPC boys are as they go from A-B very quick
and the whole idea is not to be noticed or upset any other road user
I have travelled with a few of these boys and they are mighty quick
but very smooth with tremendous awareness !
I have to explained this type of driving but most people think they can drive fast
as they have a " FAST CAR "

hmmmm. point, missed.

the whole point of any kind of gumball style rally is conspicuous excess. not subtlety.

That's the thing, these events aren't really about driving, they are about the cult of z list celebrity champagne quaffing look at me Big Brother applicant feel my wad lifestyle aspirant. The fact that the parties are the major attraction to some simply confirms that.

no. the exact opposite. its fuc4ing outrageous. besides i understand they were confiscated for 'racing' whatever that means not speeding.

i take it you have never watched any of the video's on google/youtube or their own DVD's?
IF you have AND you still want to be associated with them. well. we're just never going to get on.

LOL. behave like a retard, run the risk of being called one. by the way that wasnt aimed at these 2 guys in particular but the whole lot of them.
these muppets are accelerating the demise of the supercar and the enjoyment of "making progress". these events will lead to the introduction of draconian anti racing/convoy laws and ever tougher speeding penalties. be a part of that if you wish.

I think that will happen anyway, its all part of the masterplan to control the masses and empty their pockets

If you want to drive like that, go to the Ring and let loose WHEN YOU GET THERE.
Er, not sure if you've been to the 'Ring, but driving like a c**t on TF days tends to get bikers smacking you in the face in the car park(witnessed on more than one occasion).

The Ring is a place to drive quickly, yes, but that also includes the bends, not just the straight bits in between them!! The standard of driving on the Ring is at best mixed and at times dangerous, when people mostly in 'fast cars', are not aware of others around them, or indeed how to drive on a track (ettiquette, lines, overtaking, etc).

I almost witnessed a certain 911 driver smacking a biker in the car park.

If any of you guys are interested myself, DucatiGary, RedRSR and hopefully Nervous, are amongst about 20 people hooning through Lincolnshire later this month. We've all stickered up our supercars, we've got a private bet on for the first to triple the national speed limit, and we're stopping off half way to sacrifice some goats and have sex with some under age chickens.

obviously I wont be speeding, just watching KD try like crazy to write of his new F430

I can see the headlines now, ex british superbike blokey left in feild after slight tustle with a GT2, farmer claiming onwership of said vehicle etc due to it being on his laaaaaand.

Having been on the ragged edge of performance driving in the passenger seat of many of Mr. D's vehicles I can't see a 430 giving him much of a problem. If you get the chance go for a spin with him. Serious ability.
