so people think its ok to have a car confiscated because of speeding?

no. the exact opposite. its fuc4ing outrageous. besides i understand they were confiscated for 'racing' whatever that means not speeding.

abarthchris said:

I for one, would love to do any of the xxxball events.

i take it you have never watched any of the video's on google/youtube or their own DVD's?
IF you have AND you still want to be associated with them. well. we're just never going to get on.

abarthchris said:

let people get on with what they enjoy without judging them and calling them retards...

LOL. behave like a retard, run the risk of being called one. by the way that wasnt aimed at these 2 guys in particular but the whole lot of them.
these muppets are accelerating the demise of the supercar and the enjoyment of "making progress". these events will lead to the introduction of draconian anti racing/convoy laws and ever tougher speeding penalties. be a part of that if you wish.

i have actually watched a number of the videos, and i do possess a brain, and yet i still want to participate in it. Not because of the reckless driving, from some participants, but for the spectacle of driving thousands of miles across countries with some fun people whilst raising a bit of cash for charity...

actually i think i want to do it because that would mean i could actually afford it, and not be in debt up to my eyeballs from uni. oh well nevermind!

oh and your last paragraph particularly highlighted the fact that it is highly unlikely you and i would get on, if we were to ever meet...
"...these muppets are accelerating the demise of the supercar..." whatever

If any of you guys are interested myself, DucatiGary, RedRSR and hopefully Nervous, are amongst about 20 people hooning through Lincolnshire later this month. We've all stickered up our supercars, we've got a private bet on for the first to triple the national speed limit, and we're stopping off half way to sacrifice some goats and have sex with some under age chickens.

:awaitsabusefromsomeoftheboringsnobbynobheadsthatfrequentthisboard:

Thats the whole point.....by all means do it, but why publicise the fact?

To get other people involved.

Only interested if there will be champagne and all the big brother house mates attending. I like to hang with celebrities I do.

Already booked. The champers is Dom Perignon, and the house mates are naked with LincsHoon stickers all over them. Come and join us for a good old day of law breaking and laughing at poor people.

There are no boringsnobbynobheadsthatfrequentthisboard. You're either being offensive to existing members or Daz and I have missed some caravan club forum trollers.

Well please don't be offensive to other forum members when doing it. And I don't mean nervous.

Or I'll take your stickers away, sell your car to the gendarmes and take off with Paris Hilton in my C240 Merc passion wagon (air mattress in the back works a treat).

WHOA. TIME OUT!

Hey Domster, How the hell did I get dragged into this thread? I've barely commented on it. If people have a problem with anything I've said on a thread feel free to dive in and question it on the thread concerned. There are enough people on PH who've experienced my driving to confirm I'm not averse to making safe progress in small groups of PHers.

What do people think the eurohoon trips are about aside form the ing.

Sod knows what you're on about Daz - it was merely simon's ribald comment about boring snobby nobheads that I thought was a bit out of order as there had been some friendly, yet heated, debate until that point. And I didn't want it getting personal or out of hand. It also implies that we have boring snobby nobheads on PH in some capacity... and we don't (well, not on the Porsche forum at least).

LOL, god knows what thread you are talking about!

SIMON

Bloody nice purchase last month.

Make sure you consider upgrading the gearshift linkeage to an alloy one.

Thanks Daz, it's an amazing machine. The gearbox is fantastic, but I'd consider any possible improvements. What benefits do you get from an alloy linkage, excuse my huge lack of technical knowledge.
