If any of you guys are interested myself, DucatiGary, RedRSR and hopefully Nervous, are amongst about 20 people hooning through Lincolnshire later this month. We've all stickered up our supercars, we've got a private bet on for the first to triple the national speed limit, and we're stopping off half way to sacrifice some goats and have sex with some under age chickens.

speeding and wanton destruction of the Ozone layer is fine with me, but under age chicken sex is just too far.
At least use mature chickens who know what they're doing!

do we have to sully the porsche forum with these retards antics?
You're right Dom, until I piped up this was a friendly thread.
That wasn't levelled at anyone on here personally.
All I'm trying to do is encourage sensible debate without name-calling on a PHer to PHer level. I'll leave any further moderation to Daz tho', as he seems to have everything under control and my attempts at UN peacekeeping are being met with the same enthusiasm that both sides usually reserve for the blue-helmeted busy bodies

At the base of the gearstick there is a plastic linkage that connects to the cable which connects to the gearbox.
A number of us who drive enthusiastically have had them break and or fall off whilst driving (Me, GuyR, Adam T, bluesatin,.........etc). The alloy replacement, doesn't break and is a tighter fit.
This happened to me in august 2004 and full details are in my profile about fitting/ costs etc although some have done the job themselves.
A company called:
www.evoms.com
sells the direct replacment bit in alloy and also offers a combined short shifter combined with alloy shift linkeage if you wanted to shorten the gear shift throw at the same time.
DAZ
(The above modification can be done on any boxster or 996)

Thanks Daz, I'll bear it in mind.

The champers is Dom Perignon, and the house mates are naked with LincsHoon stickers all over them. Come and join us for a good old day of law breaking and laughing at poor people.
Im only comming if its a '76 or at a push 1990 but then only for spraying the proletariate.
BTW will you be publishing the times and route of this trip like our x-ball friends? Why not taunt VH and the coppers in SP&L? i suspect not. have fun.

I must confess the DP is a '98 vintage. We're all flash no cash types.
The route is a closely guarded secret, only DucatiGary knows it, and he's sworn himself to secrecy!

LOL
and that, my freind, is at least one thing that seperates you from the group i affectionately called retards.
BTW a dash of octane booster to a '98 should give it the same kick as a '90

we might be a little silly but stoopid, erm well ok, but not that stoopid.
And it's only 7 weeks to EuroHoon
and yes... I like stickers too I do, but (un)fortunately my current jalopy won't quite keep up with Sqd Leader Daz, so he'll be able to alert me in good time via the radio thingy about any danger to my slowly moving but ever so slightly stickered steed
Retards are us

Blimey mate, you're welcome to her! In fact, please do take her to be your brood-mare, as this will mean that her ugly mug will no longer be troubling the rest of the world's TV screens and newspapers ad infinitum ... (Never saw what people like about that girl. However, Katie Puckrick on the other hand ... woof! )
Oli.
