996 Turbo owners how much oil?

How much oil have you guys put in since taking delivery?

In the last 5,000 miles 1.25 litres. Being serviced beginning of April so total oil change then.

i have put 6000 of the 10000 on my car and i have put in 6 to 7 litres.

When I took delivery the sales guy did explain that the engine can use upto 1 litre per 1,000 miles. I would say that your car is at that limit. Might be worth mentioning to them when you get it serviced.

PS - Have you checked if the manual mentions an oil usage rate?

Only put 2k onto an existing 4k but haven't used any oil ! For what it's worth I have had a number Porkers prior to the Turbo & they have varied in oil usage, with some cars guzzling it without any problems during ownership. From my own experince I think it is down to how the car is run in. If Porkers are driven hard-ish (or thrashed like demo's are) in the early miles they appear to use more oil. Check with your OPC but in my experience they will just say it's "normal" unless your garage floor is swimming !!! How are you enjoying the car, wild eh !!
