Live and let live / each to their own / yabba yabba but I do find it utterly bizarre that an ex- TVR / S2000 can not only like a tip but not even try out a manual.

I have to agree with the others and say get that 'what's it going to be worth at re-sale' thing out of your head because most modern Porkers lose a shed load each year. So buy the car for you and not anyone else.
