Brave men to be driving your GT2s in this weather.
A certain Mr Majeed of Crawley football club fame lost control of his 993GT2 last week on the A23 twenty minutes after buying it. Broke both his legs and smashed his shoulder and ribs. This occurs only two weeks after that doctor lost control of his F40 (ripped the whole front off it but walked away fine) on the A23 as well.

Very interesting. I live locally and I know this Majeed chap is a bit of a character in the town. He own's lots of performance cars. I would never wish any harm on anybody, but let's just say I am more upset about the car than the driver.

Bet he feels a bit low at the moment. Once he overcomes his injuries he has to do 90 hour community service for attacking someone in Worthing Town centre.

couldnt give a stuff what they will be worth; just great to drive it. Have been driving it in all weathers;just a soft right foot. Shopping, blasts, lifts, and anything really to get it out of the garage and a good antidote to relentless work & domestic life.

Just done a 1000 miles in mine over the holiday period in some really wet weather, too. Only thing I could have wanted was some better wiper blades [Teflon Trico on my other cars are much better but Porsche size isn't available as yet]
Treat the loud pedal with respect on the slippy bits and you won't find a more rewarding touring car. IMHO Best kept secret in the Porsche range & PCCB are the dogs dangly bits for fast road use.

Been out for a "play" in mine this afternoon too yikes a spirited drive in cold damp and downright slippy conditions is guaranteed to clear the mind of all extraneous clutter and leave it focused on nothing other than driving........

I don't think values will rise at all, EVER. Firmly agree with matey earlier who suggested appreciating Porsches all have a direct link to motorsport.
The prices of early cars dipped into the mid £50's for a short while, but have since recovered to early £60's now, so personally I see them at least maintaining their value.....
Hope they don't go too high, cos' I'd like another one at some time.....scratchchin

Bought Lonmans old car for £50k from Henry, been driving it every day since, so far approaching six thousand miles since November.

No problems, but as everyone has said an easy right foot is required

Do you know if the modifications made by Lonman have been removed, or are they still present? I think he had a fabspeed exhaust system and an ECU remap giving 550bhp.

Hi,

The exhaust had certainly been removed, as at the moment its quiet as a mouse.

This is one of the things that will be put right probably around march, I take it the fabspeed had a good note to it??

Is that the one to go for, or is there a few to choose from, just starting a bit of research into that now?

Cheers
Chris

I'm not the best person to ask as I'm not a Porsche owner myself. I'll give you the little knowledge that I know though.

However, the Fabspeed item did have a brilliant rasp:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?doc

In that link you can hear the driveby noise a little in that clip.

There are many alternatives though. Good companies range from Milltek, Tubi, Europipe, Cargraphic, Fabspeed and many more too.

There are plenty of GT2 owners on here who will be very willing to offer good advice.
