I had a testdrive today and questions
Discussion
Hi all,
I went to have a look 993 lhd today.
It was only half an hour testdrive on the motorway but it was addictive!!
However the condition of the car wasn't good enough.
Here is what I noticed.
2 dents on the near side door
1 dent on the off side door
100 of stonechips on the front bumper and the bonnet.
cracked headlamp glass
cracked windscreen
smoke at idle but not at high revs
flat battery
1.Is it normal smoke at idle?
2. Can any of you assume how much it would cost to fix?
Cheers,
Gunny. 993 addicted

Age?
Mileage?
I think every 911 puffs a tiny bit of smoke on start up (oil collecting in the heads - horizontal cylinders remember) but constant smoke at idle? Hmmm....
Cracked windscreen? 50 quid on your fully comp insurance policy.
Tell us more about the car and we will tell you more about what to look for.

OK, I'll begin.
LHD = properly positioned pedals, more natural gear changing (try it and you'll see) & getting out onto the pavement
RHD = £10K too much.
