Just seen a 996TT for sale on the official Porsche site, at the relative bargain price of 67k.

I wonder if the volume of TT's traded in is finally bringing the resales down to earth a little. These seem like a bargain compared to the silly prices out there for 'interesting' 911's, ie: AutoClassica 993RS at 62k.

A 5k RUF / G-Force etc Engine tweek will see the above 996TT pushing around 550bhp, all on the road for 72k. I can imagine Derestrictor getting all exited over this.

The 993 Rs in question was for sale at £52,500 at a specialist about 1 month ago.i missed it..i will be amazed to see if it trades as lhd 993 RS still seem to be approx £40k ish.
I am most impressed with the ,98 R plate 993 TT with 20k miles I have seen for low £50's.....Thre is some interesting metal out there right now.
A couple of months ago I put my car in porker post,it should be in the next issue,,,if it goes and i don't know my opinion on that,it will be fun looking for an interesting porker.

Interesting on the 996 TT. Friend of mine's father has just been advised by Reading to get rid of his 996 C4S right now (I think they've offered him £62-£64k for it) as the demand for them is still strong. Roadrunner, any idea who the dealer is offering this 996 TT at this money?...I suggested he chop the C4S in for a TT and if the differential isn't too great it seems a good deal - he has a GT3 on order but the salesman put him off that by telling him it'd be too extreme for everyday use...

Guys it's going to be an interesting year for Porsche residuals. The past few years have seen very high demand for all porkers, traditionally the OPC network had control of residuals by limiting supplies, but in recent times there have been VAST numbers of cars directly imported from the factory by a host of independant companies. Now demand has tailed off & people are selling in numbers the price is falling. this is going to affect all nearly new Porkers. The older models (993 etc) will be ok because they were only supplied in limited numbers (so supply never met demand) & most of the depreciation is now gone.I got my 996TT 7 months old with 4k miles for £12k less than the list including options. I think the OPC network has 10 per. in their cars so TT trade value for standard milers is around £80k/02 £72k/01 & £65k/00 with variations dependant on mileage/spec etc. & a few non C16's even cheaper. I think prices will come down further this year before they flatten out, interesting times, pitty the buyers that paid over list to get their car early, a dealer told me of someone who had paid £20k over list to get into a 996TT at the peak of it's demand. The OPC network say they are now further restricting supplies on 996 to re-balance the market.
