My 993RS has just failed it's MoT due to emissions being too high. It's fitted with a Roock 100 cell cat and sports exhaust. Can anyone recommend someone who can look at it, preferably in the Devon area ? Normally I'd try and use Autofarm who I bought it from but they're booking work one month in advance at teh moment.

How Far over was it ?

Typically a good thrash can shift it down a fair few points.

If it wasnt THAT far over, take her for a good solid spin before, AND get the garage to 'rev' it a bit prior to taking the readings.

Spoke to my Porsche tech for you. He is based near Autofarm, so not Devon area, but he is very very good. He should be able to sort something out but you haven't got email for me to contact you with his details. So contact me via profile and will give you his number if needed etc.

That's very true, especially if the car is not used every day. An hour's run at motorway speeds interspersed with occasional wide throttle openings/high revs can work wonders.

Emissions from left tailpipe shut the machine down he said. Right tailpipe was over by quite a bit. They spent about an hour revving the engine etc. and re-testing but it still failed. When I bought the car I believe Autofarm had problems getting it through.

Domster sent you my email address.

Would a tankful of 95 RON fuel help?
