I noticed my radio reception was not too good earlier, when I got home I noticed someone had stolen my antenna.

This is the screw in Bee Sting type thing that is mounted on the rear part of the roof.

I have noticed that basically most Vauxhall,Daewoo,Peugeot,Mazda...etc seem to have this aerial.
Can I just get one of these screw on bits at Halfords rather than buying a Porsche priced part?

I think it is just an aerial extension rather than any transponder or whatever.

Any help appreciated....thanks.

Does the 968 not have the aerial imbedded in the windscreen like the 944?

Er definitely not Andrew,,,unless that Bee sting thing on the roof is for total effect,,plus the fact that now half of the thing is missing, the radio sounds 5hite.....Much prefer the windscreen aerial myself for obvious reasons..

Sorry didn't mean to state the obvious, I was just suprised they didn't use the same system. Though if I had to replace the screen at some point, I imagine it might be quite expensive - does anyone know how much?
When I bought the car I thought it was a heated windscreen!

I had a new S2 windscreen on Insurance two years ago. I insisted it was an OPC one and it cost £550

If I was a young scallywag, I'd take the badge, not the bloody aerial??!! Guess it's sitting loud and proud on some Nova somewhere now....

"Ye, me's upgraded it with some Porsche bits last night"
