Does anyone have the part numbers for the Standard One and the Cup Splitter please.

The local OPC cant seem to find the Cup Part Number.

Thanks
One of my local OPC`s had no knowledge of the Cup version, the other could only find the Tequipment Aerokit Cup II, but it was a very poor picture on their system... rolleyes

Mark, my new Cup version arrived this morning and it has the Porsche part number 996.505.986.91 stamped (moulded) in to the underside/rear (OSF about a quarter of the way along)

Hope this helps?

Are these easy to paint? I need a knew one as mine was ripped off on a ferry trip last year. I want to paint it orange (dont laugh) I saw one on a black GT3 and it looked very nice.

So why is the standard spoiler £100 more than the Cup spoiler? It's not that different.

I just ordered the Cup version form OPC Chiswick. When he plugged in the part numbers (996 505 986 91) it came up on his screen as a 996 GT3RS splitter (£76) so if you ask for a Cup splitter and they don't know what you're on about, ask for the GT3RS splitter or just give them the part number.

Motorsport parts dept vs normal car parts dept pricing... Unfortunately normal parts have taken on the motorsport parts recently so lots of GT3 RS parts etc shot through the roof in price. Some seem to be coming back down again fortunately.

If you can get some pictures showing both that would be good!

Cup spoiler is lower at the sides so gives you a lesser ramp angle when wanting to climb up ramps etc.

Okay Guys, I just removed a standard one and fitted a Cup Spoiler today.

I did it on my garage floor without ramps, wooden blocks or any other stuff.

I just used a "Stubby" screwdriver (38mm) and a pair of snips to cut back two of the plastic heads off screws that refused to come out.

It`s really not that difficult!

For those that are new to this, or are even remotely interested...

The new Cup spoiler has 115mm clearance off the ground at centre front.

The Cup spoiler has a 45mm more horizontal width (flat plain) at the sides, in front of the wheels.

Dispite the above, the Cup spoiler is way higher than the front brake ducts which are only 65mm off the road!

Hope you taped it on with the 3m tape? That part is crucial!

Dan. It`s sitting about about five turns off tight on each screw until the morning, just to let everything dry out and mould wink

Then it`s tape off and screw it all up finally...

You might want to put a strip of Duck Tape along the join as the extra downforce from the Cup item could tear itself off at speed.

Must have been Splitter Day today as I replaced, well reattached mine and fitted some mesh to protect the radiators.

Duck tape isn't going to make any odds wink I've tried that at a pinch! Its the 3m tape that makes or breaks things.

I did notice that's there's enough left over, just wish it cover more area, but then you might lose the PU rather than the splitter frown
