Can you believe the uplift in price when that car was originally supplied? £128k FFS!! Nice though it is I'd have bought the standard one given it the ninemeister or Ruf treatment, making it faster for a fraction of the cost.

Just a thought....as the Turbo S comes out at the end of the model run...can we look forward to a 996 TT "S"
next year?
No doubt something close to a Comfort spec GT2 only with 4wd.

Marki - Beleive me, it is true alright, i still talk about it when i'm laid on the couch talking to the nice man. As I recall it the article was done earlier in the year when Shirleys had just bought it.

The frightening thing is that an OPC would have a salesman with such a singular lack of knowledge that would allow such a thing to happen. Lets face it, they are not exactly well know for giving their stock away now are they?

For anyone considering converting a T2 to a Turbo S, you may like to know that Porsche prices the rear wings (with vents) at 20k apiece. One way to stop the polution...

Are you sure it's not a C4S. ie does it have a red strip between the two rear light clusters. The turbo has air intakes infront of the rear wheels the C4S does not.

The R500 is a complete blast, and on sticky ACB10's it absolutely refuses to fall off track. (Even with me driving).

Unfortunately, due to imminent Turbo delivery I've just sold it (and the M3) ... don't know how long I'm going to last without a Seven though.

I'll try and find a suitable pic to bridge the old cars and the new one. (Now done).
