944 s2 exhaust
Discussion
The one with the twin pipes? It looks a bit 'Max power' to me!!
I got mine from Porsche-a-part, it's an exact copy of the std part ( hard to beat unless you want loads of noise ) but in polished stainless steel. It sounds a little louder and seemed to make the car quicker, but as mine exhaust was the original when I changed it, most of the baffles had collapsed and were probably plugging it up a treat, so when I fitted the new one it seemed to really fly!! Also it was an absolute bargain at £250 as the quality of construction is VERY high and it's still nice and shiny after nearly 2 years, highly recommended. If you want any pics let me know and I'll send some.

Never bought anything off them, but the proprietor, Simon, is a keen Porsche nut with a lary 3.2 cab converted to 964 spec bumpers and all his bolt on goodies.

I could do with a pic of the Porschapart exhaust too. The tailpipe sticking out of my back box is getting very thin and can't last much longer (not bad after 14 years).
I prefer the standard look too, but I have seen the quality of the Essential exhausts and it is very good if you like the style. Simon has gone to the trouble of having both types rolling roaded and they do make genuine gains and sound deeper without being extreme.

definately post a pic chap, to be honest i was thinking of just cutting my back box off and banging a cherry bomb on, as with the 944 race cars
I seem to have lost the pics I took when i first fitted the exhaust , but I'll take some more at the weekend and have a go at posting them.
Like I said it's a copy of the std pipe but in stainless. I work in the fabrication industry and I know how easy it is to make a pigs ear when working with stainless steel , especially mirror polished or bright annealled, but this really is well made and thats what made me buy it.
The sound is slightly louder than std, mainly down to the fact that stainless steel has different resonant characteristics ( Cor, I impressed myself there!! ) than mild steel, but it's not boy racer loud.

I'll put jam on my hat & eat it it that were indeed the case
Excellent news
Here is the URL of the dyno graph after the Janspeed/ Essential Styling exhaust was fitted www.essentialstyling.com/images/custom2.gif
Please post the URL of the picture of you eating your jam hat at the earliest possible convenience
Seriously, you are right to be sceptical about a manufacturer claiming power inreases and then posting graphs to back it up, but Simon is well known to many Porsche owners on the Titanic Porsche forums and has a good reputation for his products.
Saying that, I have never bought one
Sorry for the delay Paul, I didn't get round to taking any new pics but I did find the old ones from when I first fitted it. I also havn't got round to finding out how you post pics on here , but if you send me you e-mail address, I'll send them to you.
Andy
P.S. Feel free to post them if you know how

Because you forgot the '/' ie [/pic]
Looks very nice nicer than mine, specially the wheels - need to spend a bit of £££ to make it look like new again
How about a sound file then?
Edited to add - look at my number of posts
Edited again to add - doesn't say 944 posts anymore
