..... after countless weeks spent off the road since I got it at the end of December last year.

Apparantly one of the (new)lamdas has failed again within weeks of being fitted, the pod has been to the factory and has been repaired fixed, the brand new £500+ cats have both cooked and the manufacturer says that it is not their fault.

Racing Green are investigating the ecu as the source of the problem of the engine (recently rebuilt) cooking the cats.

I do feel sorry for them as they do their best within the constraints of the factory and the vehicle.

I'm beginning to think that Tuscan ownership is just not worth the hassle.

Is that Porsche 993 Turbo really going to offer me the same performance without the grief?

The Porsche could keep up if your Tuscan was parked!

The 993 Turbo in standard trim does 0-60 in 3.6 secs, 0-100 in 9.1 secs and you change the plugs every 24k miles (service intervals every 12k), IIRC.

Compare that to the Tuscan

Well, Dave did a head to head with the black Tuscan at Brunters and left it for dead...

Dave's is 430 bhp Xpack not 408 bhp, but I imagine a standard car would do OK.

Daves comments were "Did he stop". So I don't think the 22bhp extra really tipped the scales.

UV, nice to see you yesterday, still sounds awesome that car of yours. Love that sway bar underneath, it looks about 2 foot thick!

One of the nicest sounding 911s up the straight, as was Clubsports 993RS - what a soundtrack!

Top day. Only regret was not getting a ride in UV's gorgeous-sounding monster - as quick a 360! - and one of the Nobles

I was actually surprised at how quick the car was on the day. The 360/RS6/Nobel scalps were a bit of a shock to be honest. There is still some debate on exactly how much bhp the car is producing. Just need to clean the flame grilled wax off the bumper, and all will be good in the world. G-Force are on the overboost problem...

Hello guys,I was the guy in the black tuscan at bruntingthorpe on sunday.I know it's a kop out but i was having a bit of trouble.
Had a stutter on hard acceleration, just as we pulled out of the long bend before the long straight it held back before stuttering a bit more,so i eased off and tootled back. Not a great excuse i know but with the history of the speed six engine thought it best to be safe than sorry. It's getting checked out on Friday.
Hopefully it won't be to bad.I'll give you a better run next time.
By the way,you sounded awesome as you left me looking down your exhaust!!
