Quick pre-Brunters tyre pressure query
Discussion
Hi DeR...tricky one as normal practice on a 911 is to let a reasonable ammount of pressure out on a trackday, with the heat/weight/engine at the back & cornering you tend to heat the rear tyres up much more than on the road..
As Brunters does not have the ammount of corners or continuous lapping of a trackday.I would set the pressures at dead on manufacturers settings F36 / R44.
I will bring along a decent digital tyre pressure guage,we can check them after a run and see how high they get. There may be a neccesity to let a little out.
I would be cautious in over inflating as although there is a potential improvement in rolling resistance,I feel this would be negated by the potential handling inbalance when it comes to the important issue of throwing the anchor over the side and trying to stop at the end of the runway.
For the same reasons of stability,I suggest we get the pressures exact on both axles,,,as in both front 36 not one 35 & the other 36...see you Tomorrow..
