2004 PORSCHE CLUB NATIONAL EVENT
Discussion
Since you asked!! A reply at last:
Hi Melvin,
The Track Day as part of the Porsche Festival, will be on the Indy circuit. The GP would be nice, but it would also be hugely expensive and I am not convinced there are enough Club members willing to pay the necessary (high) per head cost to make it work.
Best regards,
Steve Kevlin.

Shame. I know its a big circuit and therefore needs lots of marshalling but so is Silverstone GP circuit - and the club DO get that. Its about £325 or something. Personally I'd contribute about that amount for the PCGB event to be on the GP circuit.
I totally understand that not all club members would feel the same way, however.
But I'm up for it whichever circuit its on. It should be a TOP day out...

Apart from the cost issue, and as you say, there may not be one, just Steve's perception of the average tight arse Porsche owner , the whole of the Indy cct can be seen from most of the 'bowl'. Also bare in mind that there will be racing on Sunday on Monday, so see reason above!!

Sounds like a good do. Will book in for it, assuming have not compromised the 964RS again during the season...the best event I went to at Brands was the Ferrari-Maserati festival with an Eric Clapton concert following the racing. Eric is a Ferrarista, as with other pop stars & most premier div footballers, are there any porker entertainment stars who would entertain us apres tracking ?
