Good on you bosshog - you're not going out there to kill yourself or anyone else, and natural vivid and precise driving is certainly not irresponsible IMHO.

Re looks, I don't think you can beat the 996 Turbo with standard wing. Not too showy and not too plain - hits the spot for me!

Drove a demonstrator the other day and wish I could have one. The waiting list is too long, and you have to wonder why they don't step up production to meet the demand.

P.S.

What is a cakehole?
What is an Aero 8?
What is a kelly?

I know what an MGF is because I've driven one. Rather liked it too.

Apologies for ignorance, but have had to give up television and newspapers since I started reading PistonHeads.

Afternoon McNab,
Given that I'm working on a sunday (ouch) I can enlighten you

'cakehole' - mouth, as used by characters from the popular BBC Television 'drama' Eastenders...

'Aero 8' a new futuristic crosseyed car produced by those traditionalists Morgan.

'kelly le brock' - a very attractive young lady, who is famous for being good looking. She may have done something else worthy, but I'm not sure.

And I'm glad you like the MG, it's not really a quick car, but it is fun to drive. Some recompense for working on a sunday morning is driving in with the roof down!

McNab,

Please let me try and shed some light.

What is a cakehole?

This is a orifice in the human body, just under the nose. It can be used to install cakes and buns (fuel) into ones system. TVR drivers use it for pie insertion as well. Liquid fuel, such as beer and coffee can also be inserted - but tends to overflow if put in too quickly.

Due to its highly skilled design the human body also uses the 'cakehole' or mouth (gobus continuous in the female form) to talk. However this last use becoming more obselete each week as schoolchildren and various foreign sounding posters have developed the ability to talk using another orifice previously developed to expel spent fuel and gasses.

This will enable them to eat / drink and talk / expel at the same time whilst reading Max Power magazines.

Unfortunately, it is unlikey that you or I will ever be able to develop the skill of talking out of our arses.

What is an Aero 8?

This is a large chocolate bar with bubbles in the centre. It can be found in in milk or mint flavours and there is a new version with metal replacing the original wooden structure - it looks very different and is not to everyones taste, often seen as linked to Malvern spring water (although the term 'spring' is often prefaced by 'cart').

What is a kelly?

Not sure. R Kelly is a singer who thought he could fly, A Kelly ?? maybe linked to A Kylie which is quite vocal with somewhat attractive lines - ahh back to sports cars.

Cheers,
JSG.

JSG and mr tony,

Thank you both for your help. I dimly recall the use of the term 'cakehole' in the armed forces. A navel expression I believe, and typical of the Senior Service's confusion over orifices. That will explain why they have Rear Admirals, who no doubt issue oders, sorry, orders, from the posterior...

Yes, I had made the connection with Rowntree's aerated chocolate bar, for the very good reason that I invented it. It may interest you to know that I did so with the help of a well-known website, a lathe, a milling machine, 40 DIY books, and the co-operation of my schoolfriends.

I was misled by the reference to the Aero 8 because I had no idea that Morgan, the wooden carmakers, had ever produced more than one model, far less eight (as would seem to be the case).

As to Kelly, I give up. I see that you do not recommend further education in this context, and I thank you for your sensitivity - I would be unliKelly to succeed, never having had the good fortune to pursue an Irish lady. Or be pursued by one! I wonder, can Ted produce a smiley that leers?
