Good luck...tried to use these company once again...but useless,,mis information about parts & delivery...I took time to make sure they knew what i wanted so that they didn't send the wrong part again.
I wasted time & didn't get re-imbursed for postage...
This is not the way to run a business as far as i am concerned.

I have used them 3 times and found them overall helpful and very quick indeed. Prices are reasonable but always check -- range of parts is limited to the more common consumables , did get an OEM fuel pump about half the price of an OPC item though.

I would say that it is much better if you know what you are on about when ordering -- this can stop the problems that are likely to occur. As customers we do have some responsibility in the transaction

I did have a problem with some of the s/steel braided lines they offer -- they did not fit my standard 968 Coupe. I called the makers(Goodridge), sent them my pattern and they made a set specially - which went via Design911 to me at great speed and the same price. That is what I call good service.

bye for now

I also had incorrect 968 steel hoses sent, despite explaining and indeed knowing which model car and type of brakes i had fitted.
I did not receive the same service you did and had to phone Goodridge myself as they insisted the hoses were correct as that is what they had on their list.

Be careful with their pricing and the mail order thing! I rung around and they were the cheapest by about £15 on a new 993 rear reflector. I ordered it over the phone and paid for it on a card.

When it turned up it was cracked and the invoice (and debit on my card)was more than I agreed on the phone. Spoke to the main man there, and he said I was "given the wrong price" and the increased price was "still cheaper than anyone else" It took them 2 weeks to replace it and they gave me a £15 credit (verbally) against my next purchase.

I am sure that they will really remember me when I try and use the credit!!!!

I tried to buy a set of sport classics from them, I e mailed them as i am in spain, did not respond. After two days I sent a rude e mail asking why the ignored the e mail. They then replyed. I asked many questions redarding the fitment to my car and they were not interested. So I never bought from them. I find this a lot with these types of companys. I think they must think that as i am in spain and not the uk that I must just be wasting there time. There Loss.

I went to their premises - it's a bit like Elite tyres and certainly looks slightly Max Power (headlights, stainless exhausts, big wheels). That said they did have the trim part I needed for my 930 and the part was cheap.

I suspect that whoever has set up this business is a bit disappointed by how it's doing, the guy seemed a bit 'troubled' (haggard/disinterested).

The shop is hardly in a prime place, it's an old Victorian industrial unit down a back street. I'm not quite sure who their target customer is but I hope for their sake it's mail order.

Always like to have a chat when I go into these sort of places to ask about future purchases etc but as soon as the bloke had got me my parts he disappeared straight out the back again.

They're quite local to me so hopefully the business will take off and I'll be able to use them for more bits 'n' pieces.

Whoops,I was due to order several items from them next month....maybe I`d better drive to sunny Essex and do business face to face.

Has anyone got anything good to say?

Henry.

I'm guessing that looking at that 'phone number they're in Chigwell or Hainault - am I correct? - I used to live in Chigwell and have never heard of them. What's the name of the guy running the business ? you often find the same characters popping up again with a different name, and their previous activities often give a clue as to the quality of their current activities...

As Henry said, HAS anyone got anything good to say?

The naming and shaming rules mean that we have to be careful about negative feedback. Let's try and keep this thread to either positive responses or 'not happy - email me for details' posts. The number or lack of those will be an indication in itself

Just to give credit where it's due, given they've come in for a bit of flack - I ordered some bits online from these guys on Monday lunchtime. Everything turned up present and correct within 48hrs, together with a shiny brochure.

Put me down as a tick in the satisfied customer box.
