Will hopefully get mine back tomorrow, need to drive it over to North Wales again and remember what it's like, it hadn't moved for 4 months before it went in last week.
Anecdotally, while I was looking to buy and then, afterwards, whilst Ive been watching the market, you see a lot of turbos up for sale seemingly just after a rather eyewatering bill for the usual sundry things; gearboxes, turbos, intercoolers, radiators etc. etc.I guess it's a natural reaction, but in many ways, because generally GT2s and turbos actually are pretty robust, if you've just had a big bill, you might as well hold. Spring's nearly here and that often changes the complexion of these things.
If you really want to feel better I can show you some of the bills I've stumped up for!

Anyone used a Permabag ??, I've used an Airchamber but I'm storing a car we're this is no power so the Permabag looks like a good investment but not cheap. Any advice from someone that owns one or knows of someone that has had experience using one will me most appreciated!!
How's the car J? I'm on the verge of letting mine go, had some strong offers in. It's just cost me a fortune on a clutch, coil packs, plugs, leak repair and some tidy up jobs and that's not even a logged service! Getting tempted by other cars now, the old GT2 team seems to be breaking up, sad times
Been a great ownership, it's a minter now for someone else to enjoy.
Don't forget to give me a call.

Picked it up this afternoon. Drove home the long way, sun shining, empty b roads. Insane. Keeping it.
Good to know you've learnt the error of your ways after letting go of GAV ....Loved that car, even though it tried to kill me a few times.
Got quite a bit of stick about that number plate, apparently my name is a bit chavy!

As a little side note the fuel pump need changing on mine, felt a little peaky at revs which turned out to be a greatly reduced fuel pressure caused by a breakdown of some of the rubber components on the pump. The new one (OE replacement) has had a redesign to resolve the issue.
FYI but if you're planning on giving the ol gal the beans it might pay to have a fuel pressure check, I dread to think the damage fuel starvation could cause at autobahn speeds or on the track.

There buggers to sell or let go because you know it will be hard getting into one that you know and trust.I took mine out for 30min on Sunday and I came back grinning, I wasn't driving fast because the roads looked damp but
just a couple of round abouts and a few straight blips reminded why I still have it.
I didn't realise how much I smile until a friend showed me the pics afterward LOL.

You only need to put together one good corner and exit and hear the exhaust bark into life and the Mezger start throwing you down the road, and you're happy for days after.
The new clutch in mine is a revelation. It's a fair bit lighter, the old one was very heavy for the last 5k miles, the car is a total pleasure to drive again now.
Taking it over to Shropshire tomorrow.

This is exactly it. I spent an hour in mine on Saturday, wet roads, couldn't get much power down but you don't need to to enjoy the flow of the car.

That drive is still etched in my mind. It was very much sub zero, and when I put the car in the garage and went to turn the garage light off, I noticed icicles spouting off the front surfaces of the mirrors and surface above the outer air intakes on the front bumper. I guess there must have been a hefty chill factor at ***mph on what was a sub zero night.A good image of Midnight blue :
And a mate's son fancied a go behind the wheel .....
Can't start them off too young ! !
Anyone else seen this GT2 RS vid?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZebDgpM2i4
Not condoning some of the driving there but the noises, brutal acceleration and nervous laughing sums up the GT2 for me

It's an old one I think I, it was the subject of its own thread and was roundly condemned on here as I recall ......https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZebDgpM2i4
