Seized Nipples !

My bleed nipples on the rear brakes have seized, I am soaking them in WD40 and have tried heating them, any ideas how else I might release them. They are on the Brembo callipers, 944S2. Any ideas greatly received.

Try giving them a gentle yet sharp tap square on the top and then use a socket to undo them applying the pressure smoothly and only try to turn them a minimal amount then work at them slowly. Good luck and if all else fails and they break off dont worry any motormart will supply some more.

Can you get a machine shop from Motormart that automatically removed the broken off/seized in leftover piece?

Don't believe a word, if they sieze off the car is off the road until you can have the naughty nipples removed professionally.

No i dont think that motor mart supply a machine shop to remove the nipples but 7 years mechanical experience have lead me to belive that a careful undersized drill can do this. I have never had the need to use a machine shop.
Its up to you whether you want to have a go yourself or spend a fortune having someone else do the job.

And i've been a Mechanical Engineer for nigh on 20 and could not get a siezed nipple out of one of my big reds for love nor money, nor could one of my customers (who owns an engineering company) from one of his. In the end they had to be helicoiled.

I'm not having a dig (before anyone takes the hump) but if you want to recommend that someone takes a hand drill to a £350 caliper on a 180mph car go right ahead. Personally I would like to see the number of Pistonheaders increase over the forseeable future so I'm playing safe, ok?

In the US, siezing a nipple with a big red (hand) is a criminal offense, even for a mechanical engineer.
