I turned down two cars in Cobalt when I was looking last year, it's just not the colour for me.
Well that's 21:3 on this thread alone so I don't think the OP will be having many problems come resale It is not uncommon for cobalt blue cars to sit around for a while before being moved on and normaly for under what a black or silver car would achieve.
Im not saying its not a nice colour as personally I like it - But it seems that potential buyers do not think the same.

I nearly bought a cobalt 944S2 once. The whole interior was blue too, carpets, seats dash, everything.
Still looked great though. It was at OPC Wilmslow and at the end of the day it was just too dear.

I did buy a Cobalt Blue 944S2, J reg with blue seats, blue dash, carpets!! It was definately the "in" colour at the time and looked stunning as cobalt was quite rare on 944's. It always drew much attention at shows and got a good price for it when resold on.Still looked great though. It was at OPC Wilmslow and at the end of the day it was just too dear.

Well that's 21:3 on this thread alone so I don't think the OP will be having many problems come resale start a thread with a title like this and they always attract lots of people who love cobalt or own a cobalt car who leap to defend it, not lots of people who say they don't like it or do quite like it but would never buy one -s I doubt very much whther the views expressed are representative
(not that I disagree with any of them)
With so many Silver, Grey and Black cars about (especially 911s) it never hurts to have something that little bit different that isn't completely in your face.....
For the uninitiated, Cobalt Blue has an amount of iridescence to it (nothing like the TVRs of the late 90s) and, as has been said before, the actual shade depends upon the quality of ambient light which I hope helps explain why some photos don't do it justice.
When it's just been washed &/or polished it looks amazing and suits the contours of a 997 beautifully, in fact it even looks good when it's dirty, but after all it's a Porsche........
