I nearly bought a cobalt 944S2 once. The whole interior was blue too, carpets, seats dash, everything.
Still looked great though. It was at OPC Wilmslow and at the end of the day it was just too dear.

I did buy a Cobalt Blue 944S2, J reg with blue seats, blue dash, carpets!! It was definately the "in" colour at the time and looked stunning as cobalt was quite rare on 944's. It always drew much attention at shows and got a good price for it when resold on.Still looked great though. It was at OPC Wilmslow and at the end of the day it was just too dear.

I would love a 997turbo in thevsame colours.
As others have said, colours are personal opinion; therefore, difficult to gauge the impact. That said, I was told by the DP at my local OPC that they always bid less on Guards Red and Speed Yellow cars as they appeal to a very limited market and sometimes it takes months for the right buyer to come along.
Cobalt doesn't photograph well but in the metal, it is a great colour.

I like Cobalt Blue and it is rarer than silver and black. I ended up with an artic silver 996 Turbo purely because I was very fussy about the spec and had to have the factory aerokit. If there was another car in cobalt blue with the exact same spec the colour would not have put me off and it would have been a tough decision but I would have probably gone blue to be different and for rarity.
Silver is a very good and safe colour. I don't like Lapis blue as it is too dark for me whereas Cobalt is very vibrant.

As a seller of Porsches on a daily basis, you may value my opinion.
Cobalt sells just fine.
As long as it doesnt have Grey leather.
If it has grey leather , then you can forget it.
Black or metropole leather is what works with Cobalt
My first Porsche 12 years ago wass also Cobalt so i love the colour too.
We buy as many Cobalt cars as we can get.
I have sold every Porsche in Cobalt
964,993,996,997,997 Turbo,Cayman's,Boxster's......

The problem with blues is that Porsche do change them at fairly regular frequency, so it can date the car.
I've had several blue Porsches over the years - Slate, Ocean, Baltic, Cobalt('91) and Zenith. And, in each case, when I came to sell, it was a discontinued colour with a newer version in vogue. I think Zenith on a 996 was the worst for dating the car.
I know some people don't like dark blue interiors and say they devalue the car, but I've always liked them.
