The problem with blues is that Porsche do change them at fairly regular frequency, so it can date the car.

I've had several blue Porsches over the years - Slate, Ocean, Baltic, Cobalt('91) and Zenith. And, in each case, when I came to sell, it was a discontinued colour with a newer version in vogue. I think Zenith on a 996 was the worst for dating the car.

I know some people don't like dark blue interiors and say they devalue the car, but I've always liked them.
er... slate blue? agree that zenith now looks very dated IMHO

Cobalt blue was one of my preferences when buying my Cayman (though I ended up in a Seal Grey instead). A brilliant colour - go for it! smile

I've just got a 911 996 C2 in Cobalt Blue and I have to say I was bowled over when I saw it in the show room. Fantastic colour IMO, I love it. The PSE exhaust also helped sell it, it sounds incredible, puts a smile on my face every time I start it.....Sod the neighbours

That was my first 911 - an '83 SC, bought from Malaya Garage in Billingshurst in March '84. Nice colour, and more subtle than Cobalt. It was carried over to the early 3.2 Carreras.

I love Cobalt blue! I would definitely be on the look out for this colour If I buy another 911. I just sold my black 997 and as beautiful it looked It was just such a nightmare to keep clean.
