Got one coming next month, i have deleted the Spyder look wheels as i think they
look gank, and much prefer the standard wheels.
Hope i've done the right thing there.

G.
I prefer the standard wheels as well.

Just out of curiosity how difficult is it to change a wheel with just a center nut? how much torque does it take to tighten that thing?
Bugger, conscience has got the better of me, well, like the thought of potentially throwing money away has got to me.

Re-spec'd the Spyder wheels today, as i don't want any of the old 'he's just stuck a S Badge on there'

Already looking for aftermarket options.

No idea on the torque rating, i'm assuming the car will come with some kind of special torque bar/wrench jobbie....?

G.
Wheel bolts need 500nm of torque, and porsche don`t supply anything to undo the bolt, if the wheels need to come off it`s porsche centre only.

500 newton meters = 50.985810649 kilogram meters.

So you would *just* need a meter long wrench and a decent percentage of body weight to deal with the nuts! LOL!

Same applies to the GT3 and RS which has the centre-lock wheels as standard fit.

My OPC said the tool was an extra, but suggested most people would buy their own more cheaply.

For those who don't, punctures can be temporarily repaired with a sealant or recovery by Porsche Assist.

I'm sure I have seen on rennlist threads about tools for this. Yes they were expensive $300-500 ish IIRC but you can get them after market it seems

Out of curiosity, I tried to Google "porsche centre wheel nut wrench" but couldn't find any picutres but dug up this link which may be of interest as it explains the difference between this version and the more tradtional motorsport type as found on the CGT.

I am in the waiting list now having paid about three months ago.

I think all white with black gloss wheels and the aerokit with carbon race seats will make it look and feel a bit more special than the standard turbo.

Thoughts?

Thats the spec of my car apart from black wheels, not sure it would look OK with black holes where the wheels should be.

Yellow seat belts maybe? Apart from that, it's going to look very, very nice yes

Think you need a bit of silver in there somewhere.

Great minds seem to think alike: I've got a July build slot for a white Turbo S with black wheels, black and cream interior (and yellow seat belts). I like the aerokit but dismissed it as being too impractical for day to day use (particularly over speed bumps) - was I wrong?

Leicester OPC had a white gen1 turbo about a month ago. The interior was black leather but had white center console, white seat backs AND white stitching - looked fab, but how practical that stitching would be in real life i don't know.
If i was speccing this car, i would have a mix of carbon and yellow to break that interior up a little, yellow belts look great with the PCCB's too.

You were right. The 911 is a great car, made more so by how useable it is. I often need to divert to a work-related incident whilst I am out in my 911 and I can do it because it can negotiate speed bumps. I couldn't if it had an aero kit I suspect, so I would miss out on enjoying driving my car whilst being paid 40p per mile by my business for the privilege!

Would have to agree there, never seen the point having black wheels and loosing them in black holes ?

Looks much better from the front image, i think them skirts are a touch too deep though - makes them look very 'aftermarket' IMO.
Does Seem sensibly priced for a 2010 car too

I think you are spot on, particularly on the Aerokit, though if it were me I would be thinking about the Ice Blue as well. I trust you are not going for the two tone leather interior?

For info, here's what a $1k, 500mn torque wrench looks like!
