We picked up our Mk2 GT3 from OPC Silverstone yesterday and drove it home via a 3 hour detour of the Cotswolds.
Startlingly quick, lovely exhaust note even at idle, love the way the whole car feeds back to you.
Very very very happy
If somebody can tell me how to post pics here (I don't have a web site to link to) I'll put some up.

on that note of attaching pics, i had difficulties myself doing it. getcarter helped me out, but surely something simple like a cut 'n paste fucntionality can be added to the site to make it very simple to put in the pics. it's nice to see what others drive... c'mon ted - sort it out! i've just bought a ph sticker, so i know you've got the budget to get some techhie in...
Fantastic!
You know, I'm sure a debilitating condition known as 'Colbeckitus' may be taking hold; only this morning, following the ritual (and thoroughly deserved) verbal abusing of "roll 'aat va barrargh" Thomas, I described my increasing appreciation - and therefore lust - for the GT3-RS.
In truth, a similar yearning surely exists for the GT3 itself and consequently I find myself imagining how you must feel old boy, to be the proud owner of something so inescapably superb?
Uber congrats from the cobbles.

[quote=AndrewD]Lightweight, it is arctic silver, black leather with leather recaros, bi-xenons, comfort spec. Won't be seeing *that* much track use as I have the SR3, so didn't go for a clubsport or cage. Nice to have CD, aircon, and be able to get at the rear space without contending with a cade.[/quo
Very Nice spec i do a high millage so quite like the sound of the leather buckets rather than nomex you will not regret ticking the box marked aircon on the options code

Congrats
Just about to finalise the spec on mine for June delivery.
Going Clubsport. Really wanted PCCB but with all the issues surrounding them (of which Porsche GB are aware by the way as they have advised that we go for the standard brakes if we will drive it hard)and the gact that, depite all the rumours that the discs are now £1000 a corner they are as follows:
£28,000 plus VAT amd labour for all 4 incl pads
£5,800 plus VAT and labour per corner discs only
£3,200 plus VAt and labour per corner for reconditioned discs.
ouch!!

AdamS - can you repeat/check those figs you've quoted for PCCB!!
my GT3 Clubsport has PCCB and yes its doing trackdays
the OPC's opinion (can you trust them) was that the PCCB problems were largely limited to GT2's
maybe I'll be speaking to them again!
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but take a look at the link mentioned in this thread.

It is not just a GT2 issue. It's just just that all GT2s come standard with them where as they have only been available as a cost option on the GT3 mk2. The solution if trackdaying the car/intending to drive the car hard is to get a replacement set of steel discs and pads which still use the PCCB calipers.
