Porsche (definately) only track day
Discussion
We are hosting a Porsche only track day at Castle Combe on Monday 21st June. It`s after the British GT that weekend so you could make a weekend of it.
The cost is £225 inc Vat for a car and up to two people. This also includes a buffet lunch as well as instruction if required.
It also includes passenger laps throughout the day in a series of Porsche race cars driven by their respective racing drivers.

We`re not looking to take a profit out of it. Numbers will be very limited and we are particularly happy to see trackday virgins. We`ll hold your hand and show you the ropes.
Should be a good day and we will be there over the whole weekend. Castle Combe is one of the best spectator circuits in the UK with a fantastic atmosphere. That weekend is their star meet of the year.

Sounds good Henry...only thing is it sounds about £50 too pricey. I appreciate you are not looking to make a profit but relative 5hite on your shoe like myself don't need a michelin star attatched to our buffet luncheon...how many cars do you expect to run on the day and expected track time?
Paul £50 over priced! you big tart, you're already doing some RMA & PCGB days, & they are only £100-£150 over others
Anyway how can you expect Henry to tell you track time, as that would relate to mileage- and as we know from our 'enry, mileage is not an important issue and thus need not be revealed
Sorry Henry couldnt resist

Clubsport -RTFM. TWO people! Who's Nobby No Mates gonna split it with then? I'm sure Henry will give you a couple of straws to share the champagne.

Cheers Melv....I was more interested in the elusive details as to how much track time would be available on the day, would it be open pit lane?..I don't really care if i am allowed 5 people in my car or what lunch arrangements are to be fair!
If it is open pitlane with 25-30 cars on the day, it is a fantastic deal, I just have this thing where I like to know what i am buying before i jump in.
p.s. V Impressed the your car yesterday...many thanks for the run.
The day will start in sessions. 12 people on track at a time. Approx 1 session per hour. What generally happens is that after lunch, or even before lunch it goes into a queueing system with the marshalls maintaining the 12 cars on the track. From previous years experience I doubt very much if you will come away wanting.
There are a lot of people who do a couple of sessions then decide to sit things out for a while. The benefit of being fairly informal is that you can "fill" those empty spaces. You also do not "force" people out onto the track in "their" session.
I would expect 45 to 50 people on the day.
In terms of £225 being too dear then you probably need to look for some airfield days or 120 people plus days !! There are folk who would pay that just for the passenger laps !!!
If you did want to lose the lunch I`ll knock you a tenner off the bill and you can sit outside on your own alone in the car park !!
It promises to be a fun day, if it hasn`t got a Porsche badge on the bonnet then it doesn`t get on track - regardless of numbers booked, so it will be a day without 300bhp / 400kg road going racecars.
As for additional race cars and drivers we are currently well sorted at the moment but if you do know someone with the driving ability to enhance the day please feel free to put them in touch with us.
Happy motoring - Henry
