Hello, after much searching, both TVR and Porsche sites, I finally Decided on a Porsche 944 (Choice was either TVR "S" or 944)Basically could not turn down bargain 944, car is 944 Lux, Guards red, FSH (+ all old mots + file full of bills)Black half leather interior in excellent order, body work is very good (not concours, but very good)all shafts and belts just done, vintage 1988 ( a bit older than I wanted), she drives nice, What do you think? I look forward to talking to you guy's about all the little "bits and bobs" she needs doing to her over the next couple of weeks.

Regards

Nick

Good choice, If you get half as much pleasure from your 944 as I get from mine you will be a happy man. They are great cars and you can look forward to fun times ahead.

Good luck and I think you've made the right choice for a daily driver over an S3 (had an S3, now have a lux).

If you need any advice of changing shocks and front suspension bushes (if you have steel wishbones) please ask as that's what I've just finished doing.

Regards,

Mark

congrats, I have two 944s, a 928 and a TVR 2500-M (1974 model). The 944 is as good a driver as anything made, one of the best steering cars ever. Power is more than adequate, and it has taken on the role as the "giant killer" in many a road test. I have a 1984 road test where a 944 beat out a Ferrari, Corvette, and a 928 (by one point), based on overall balance. The other cars had more motor, but everyone decided the 944 was the best driver, the fastest over the slalom course, and had the best balance. You'll love the car. Now don't let that grin put permanent lines in your face!!
