Yes, and the honest truth is the RRS is not even close to a Cayenne on a twisty road. Once over 30mph the Cayenne handles well, the RRS is still a wallowing barge.
I haven't owned but a neighbour has and its been a nightmare for reliability. I hear other tales of woe from other owners too.
I hear nothing but praise for the Cayenne, and neither of ours have missed a beat in 70k miles over 5 years.
So a No then!I haven't owned but a neighbour has and its been a nightmare for reliability. I hear other tales of woe from other owners too.

Explains a lot!

There is a thread running about a Macan being back at the dealers all the time and 997s having chocolate engines so going by you all Porsches can't be used daily?

Just too many issues. It's not just the RRS next door, almost every owner a speak to says the same thing...great cars...when they work...
I don't know anyone personally who has had issues with a Cayenne.
I did also have a 997 and it was also flawless in my year of ownership but that was a very different vehicle. of course, and not one I want use as my daily.

For me, no, I couldn't trust a RRS/RR as a daily.

Type "cayenne problems" into the PH search engine and pages and pages will come up!Just too many issues. It's not just the RRS next door, almost every owner a speak to says the same thing...great cars...when they work...

Anyhoo rose tinted specs excepted from owners I am not slagging off Porsches because I have had a few and loved them but it's the total bks by fanboys that grates!
Enjoy your cars in good health.
Don’t feed the troll. Granfondo doesn’t claim to own a Porsche; it would be the same as me trawling the Landrover or BMW forums and jumping on any thread in favour of the RRS or X5 to bleat on about how much better the Cayenne is. Let’s face it, we wouldn’t be here on the Porsche forum if we weren’t a bit biased toward Stuttgart (or rather Leipzig in this case)!

I am not claiming the RRS is better, just when people post rubbish about ride quality and can't be used as a daily and can't go round corners at more than 30mph then a bit of perspective should be brought, don't you think?catfood12 said:
Doh !
Looks serious if they're pulling it from where it stood with a dolly....
What's wrong with it ?
Electrics died, couldn't get it out of park or take the hand brake off.Looks serious if they're pulling it from where it stood with a dolly....
What's wrong with it ?
Off road for more than two weeks and Landrover wouldn't tell me or the dealer what the problem was, they just kept fitting new parts and re programming stuff.

An example of what can go wrong with modern cars of all marques. I feel your pain! A computer just tells a tech to change part X and then another etc. I had a BMW like this. All covered by warranty but little comfort when the car is off line for so long. And the cost of these parts would give you cold sweats. Thats what worried me. What happens when the car is out of warranty!
I ran an X5 from new for nine years....I always renewed the manufacturers warranty. Never had anything major fail but over the a few smaller issues which were four figure bills. sajafzal said:
So the time came to say good bye to my Cayenne last Friday.
Honestly in my six years of ownership, I had trouble free motoring, and enjoyed having the car, car will be missed, until my new one arrives !!
Will keep an eye on this thread from time to time

I'm keeping mine. Just had a 80k service and new discs and pads all round which came to £1700 at a local indy.
Hope your new one is as good as the last.
